Thread: Nintendo = Nudity/Blood/Gore/explicit language

  1. Nintendo = Nudity/Blood/Gore/explicit language

    Thats right Nintendo!

The new game Giest which was shown last year as a bloody first person shooter! Caught alot of attention but most still said it was nothing big and continue to insult Nintendo for being Kiddy!

While Giest, isnt that popular! But Geist will include Partial Nudity/Blood/Gore/ Explicit language!

Nintendo has made another title that pushes the onvilope on Blood and gore!

If EternalDarkness had gotten any attention it would have been banned all over Im sure! The Blood and gore in Nintendo's games is beginning to look like Nintendo is quickly becoming the most mature Game company of the three!

M$ - Most gory game with any mature content Halo

Sony- Quite close Sony is launching God Of War

Nintendo- Eternal Darkness alone would tie it with Sony, But now having Giest Nintendo gains the lead as most mature Platform/Software developer!

just about, but you have to admit some of the gore in ED was pretty intense. Flesh and blood and stuff. Lets not also forget Killer 7 where you actually see people's flesh and brain. Geist is actually bloody. In the trailer there is a spot where this monster stabs this guy threw the chest and all this blood splatters on the screen. Pretty intense.

There's so many flaws in this - I don't know where to begin.

Nintendo has made another title that pushes the envelope on Blood and gore!
    And the first was?

If Eternal Darkness had gotten any attention it would have been banned all over I'm sure!
Banned? OnBake? You can't ban a game because it's too 'mature' - that's why there's a Mature rating. Hell, if it somehow manages to be too mature for a mature rating they still have the Adults Only rating. And blaming it on the fact that ED didn't get any attention - ridiculous.

Your analysis of the three main console manufacturers is horribly off as well. I know for a fact that the Xbox has more mature games than simply the Halo franchise - and I don't feel that I need to bother naming them. The PS2 is the same way [Manhunt, anyone?].

Nintendo - Eternal Darkness alone would tie it with Sony, but now having Geist, Nintendo gains the lead as most mature Platform/Software developer!
Sorry, but Nintendo has never internally developed a gory, mature title that I can recollect. Every mature game that was published by Nintendo has been developed by an outside studio - Silicon Knights, Capcom, n-Space, etc.

Ah yes, I forgot about that. [BMX XXX was one, wasn't it?]

Irregardless, Eternal Darkness was by no means ban-worthy compared to other games that have been released in the US.

This post almost gave me chills down my spine because of its stupidity. No offence Joe, but research what you posted and you'll see why its dumb.

Well... ...even though you're not quite right this time joe, you do at least have a point. Nintendo has been seeing alot more mature rated games than it has in it's past.

Killer 7 supposedly has a seen where a woman pleasures a parapalegic man (I read something about this on IGN)... ...how much more mature can you get.

  12. #12
I wish that woman was pleasing me

  13. #13
have you even seen the woman...i guess in a sense to some people it doesnt matter so long as there isnt a penis...but anyways...i just want to point out that i bought god of war and its awesome...and has incredibly intesne violence(ripping people in half, bashing faces against brick walkways, taking someones sword and stabbing it through their chest) all on a regular basis...and that his quite a bit of nudity in it as well. i wouldnt say that nintendo is the most mature platform at all, but it is damn fine, and they are getting around to making more mature games...or publishing them at least.

First of all you didnt actually understand much of what I said and its not that hard to understand!

1.The First Title to push the envolope to nearly being Banned was EternalDarkness If you had paid any attention!

    2. Banned for being to mature, HMMmmm look into your own info before making a Comment that only a druggie can make! Ill name countries that have banned games, Canada,Australia (Single States), England!

    3. Microsoft has yet to develope a game more gory or mature than Halo! I dont think Manhunt was actually made by Sony or one of its first parties! I dont know of any game that keep up to God Of War or EternalDarkness Made by Sony or one of its first Parties!

    4. Uhuh Sure they didnt! Dumby everything a Nintendo First Party makes is fully controlled by Nintendo! If you say No ill show you an example ( Retro had numerous Titles they wanted to make Nintendo told them to drop all of them and work on the metroid Series) Silicon Knights was a first party developer for Nintendo.Canada!

1.Capcom is only now starting to make 2nd party titles, the first I know of is The Legend of Zelda Minish Cap! Please remember that ResidentEvil4 was in know plosible way developed or published by Nintendo! And as far as I know Killer7 isnt being published or Developed Directly by Nintendo either! However Nintendo asked Capcom to make them these games exclusivly for GCN! However as you know Capcom has double crossed and cowardly backstabbed Nintendo by porting RE4!
But dont worry Capcom lost the co-operation of all of the RE4 game developers. So thy are porting the title with people unformiliar with the scimatics of how the game was designed!

Hey Yes I am English/Canadian at least here we no something about the industry! - Ex. "Games Cant be Banned for being to mature" and "developed by an outside studio - Silicon Knights" Hahaha I make myself Laugh~!

  17. #17
I don't feel like quoting so...

    1. Nintendo didn't make Eternal Darkenss, Silicon Knights did.
    2. They ment in the U.S. It's against the law to ban games in the U.S. (constitution and all)
    3. - Microsoft doesn't make games... it's 1st/2nd party companies do.
    - Manhunt was made by Rockstar, I dunno who made God of War, and Silicon Knights made Eternal Darkness (2nd time I said this).
    4. - Retro wasn't ordered to drop everything, they decided to upon gaining the Metroid rights.
    - Silicon Knights was a second party under contract (Nintendo didn't own them, but had a contract with them to publish their games).

    Next
    1. -It's called a licensed game. Nintendo lent out their franchise to another company. That is in no way second party.
    - The first games to actually be made this way were Oracle of Ages and Oracle of Season.
-Nintendo isn't publishing Killer 7, Capcom is.
-Capcom had a limited exclusivity contract with Nintendo. Once that expires its up to them what they want to do with the game (even if you don't like it)
    - I'm not sure what you mean, but they lost the original team and yes, the series will probably be screwed up.

I'm glad you make yourself laugh. I had a good laugh too.

  18. me three.
THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY ADDICTIVE ABOUT THE WII

its funny how games that are loved because of their 'mature' content are loved mainly by immature minded people who say things like 'ooh get this because (A) you can steal a car and run over as many people as u like (B) you can go into a brothel see tits and kill a hooker using a dildo (C) its got so much blood in it that the screen just looks red' and so on. yeah sure those things can be fun but praising a game because of gore, violence and sexual content is just plain immature.

I was thinking about closing this...but nahh, I'll leave it open for laughs.
