It was inevitable I suppose. E3 may be home to another price war.
After hearing today's announcement stating that Sony will bundle a network adaptor with a newer version of the PS2 for $199.99 I figured one of two this were going to happen. One, was that they may discontinue the old PS2 all together. Or option two, drop the price of the original PS2 and sell it without a network adapter.
GamerFeed has just learned that Sony has chosen Option 2, announcing a price cut just minuets ago. The new price of the old PS2 will be priced at $179.99 . This price has been set in order to eliminate the existing stock of PS2 systems until the new system with the DVD features and network adapters hit shelves later this year.
