In an unfortunate turn of events, it has been confirmed today that Xbox Nation and GMR, both publications of Ziff-Davis, have been officially terminated. GMR was closed apparently due to EB Games pulling support from the magazine, while GMR's closure remains a mystery at this time. Although Ziff-Davis has not issued a comment, sources within the company have confirmed this news.
It is being rumored that the staff at these publications will in part be relocated onto the staff of Ziff-Davis' other magazines - such as Official PlayStation Magazine and Electronic Gaming Monthly - but at this time their fates are ultimately undetermined.
This is bitter news indeed, for both fans and staff alike. We'll have more on these publication closures, as well as Ziff-Davis' issued response, as soon as they become available.
