    ILoveKnees.com

Hum...this is interesting, though a ripoff. Then again IloveBee's was a ripoff of the whole perfect dark thing too.

For the entire run down so far.

Kinda silly yes, but does this mean that metriod really does have vehicles? because I'm convinced right now...
the greatest problem I see facing the Battle Sphere program, if it's real, is that the current male soldier is physically too large
Btw, www.Iloveknees.com is a small little parody that I found, it has nothing to do with the above.

  2. It's not a rip off of anything.

It's a new marketing strategy that is just begining to be used and people are kind of testing to see what it can do. The "ILoveBees" bit showed that it can be a powerful marketing tool. It's no question why others are imitating this sort of marketing strategy.

man, those MP3 glasses are to die for

  4. nobody ever told what the whole "ILoveBees" thing was. Can somebody please explain what it was?

  5. #5
Lame because the site makes it way too damn obvious that its related to Metroid. They practically come out and say it!

    ^I personally like that better....

Anyways......does no one else realize what the battle shpere thingy is...because I believe I do! Samus will now, most likely, be able to shoot while in morph ball mode once she aquires the battle shpere upgrade. Sounds logical doesn't it???? This would be so sweet if it turns out to be true (which from the pictures is almost a given).

ilovebees.com was a sort of ad for halo 2. really just to build hype. read this article on it by ign:

    http://xbox.ign.com/articles/558/558097p1.html

at the end are some links to further explain ilovebees.com but here it is.

o and read this stuff from orbis labs:

Orbis Labs look toward the future with guarded optimism. While we hope for an end to conflict and peace throughout the world and universe, history has taught us that conflict will always be a reality.

Our team of world class scientists and technicians are developing the modular motion apparatus of the future: the Battle Sphere. With the fortitude of a tank, the mobility of infantry, and its unique superstructure allowing soldiers to morph into its shell, the Battle Sphere will dramatically enhance a soldier's defense profile to meet every combat situation

why would they say universe if we dont really have human access to the universe, but samus does. and morph is really odd because it looks so much like a morph ball. Weird no?

  10. Wow, that's awesome. I've never heard of anything like that before.

    thanks for the link DLazare91.

Just like this. It gets forum topics started all over the net where people speculate what a certain passage in a website that claims not to be related to the topic really means. Of course their are subtle hints that allow those who are really persistant to find that in fact what is on the page is related to their favorite game.

Then there are changes to the webpage often. This makes those fanboys of the game check back at the site very often with hopes of seeing a new bit that they could post on their favorite forum and discuss.

If done correctly and well it makes for a very strong marketing strategy. However, being that it takes a passionate curiosity for the game to be interested in analyzing a webiste that is "not related to your game" it seems as if they are marketing to the wrong people. The people that go through these sites and poor over the information are going to get the game anyways and already are pretty psyched. Sure, this will make them anticipate the game even more than they already are, but it won't really drag in new consumers.

ILoveBees was done a lot better than this Metriod one however.

^ I still don't see how that helps to spread anything. They were going to get it, as you said, so... it's basically a waste of money and effort.

But it draws the attention of people who weren't going to get it anyway. It's kind of, well, hyping it up, and research has shown that it works better than commercials and the like.

So what if it hypes it up? If the person was going to get the game, hyping it for them does not mean it's going to make them buy a second copy.

  19. But then their are the casual gamers that share a forum with those who are pouring over the information of ILoveBees and the likes. The casual gamer takes a look at what is going on, and he/she is drawn into it due to his/her curiosity.
