Mario Kart: Double Dash is revealed!

Nintendo has revealed details and images of Mario Kart on the GameCube, which will be called Mario Kart: Double Dash.

The images reveal 16 characters riding in pairs on their karts. One character drives, and the other throws weapons. Characters include Mario, Luigi, Peach, Baby Mario, Baby Luigi, Yoshi, Birdo, Wario, Waluigi, Donkey Kong, Diddy Kong, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Koopa, and Paratroopa.

We'll have some more details shortly. In the meantime, eyeball what NOA has revealed.

Update: Famitsu says the game WILL work with a LAN adapter; 8 players can play!(with two GameCubes and two copies of the game)

Pairs? I'm not to sure about that...

that's sorta like in Conker's Bad Fur Day, in the Tank multiplayer mode, when you have one player control the turret, as the other player drives.

Sounds very very interesting indeed. What id like is tonnes of unlockables in the main game, loads of tracks and plenty of weapons. Perhaps a pikmin weapon, where pikmin dismantile your wheels and your left standing for 5 seconds. Or the Pikmin can ferry your cart across impassable areas like thick mud, shaving off time? hell, have secondary functions for every weapon. And ti'd be cool if you ould race in boats too like Didy Kong racing. or maybe not......

Although I now look at the screen shots and im not sure about this game anymore. It doesn't look ery good with the 2 player all the time they should have made that a different mode.

I mean one person driving one shooting works in Halo, because it isn't a racing game. I like shooting the stuff myself while driving in Mario Kart.

Yes I did, I saw them at GamerFeed. I guess the last two are pretty good, but the road texture on the last one is pretty bad.
