The battery life has been announced but it's just a well educated estimation by Sony based on old figures. It's 8 - 15 hours depending on the game but still set to change.

If Sony wants to take that big of aloss from each one, then they are about to lose more money then they ever have.

Too many analysts have guessed it will cost at least $350.00 to manufacture near launch. If they sell 5 million PSP's in the first year, that's a loss of $1 billion dollars. If I remember, Sony wanted to make profit from each sold, not a loss.


Manfred Gerdes, SCEE German Managing Director 2 weeks ago said 33,000 yen for Japan and that is $300.00 in USD.
