Thread: Ubisoft E3 Press Conference

Hmmm, then... Ummm. Well, I guess we shouldn't expect this game anytime soon though. Doesn't have any consoles listed nor was there even a projected release window. I wonder if it's going to be on the show floor. Should be.

it' was played on a 360 controller ( maybe Next gen dev kit ? ) or pc

atch Dogs, a new title from Ubisoft Montreal, was just announced during Ubisoft's pre-E3 press conference. The game was being played with an Xbox 360 controller during the presentation; however, it looked remarkably better than any console title we've seen to date. Could this be our first hint at the next generation? Ubisoft announced no platforms. It also looks like there may be drop-in-drop-out multiplayer, which is always a welcome addition.

  3. No idea, press release or floor info soon I hope....Doubt it'll be on floor though if it's next-gen.

You know this how? Looked too good to be current-gen.

"we can assume" is not confirmation.

The scene in the rail after he kills the guy makes this obviously not possible on current consoles, though one of the pedestrians when he walks out side is floating so it's real gameplay.

Did anyone notice like JUST while people were watching and thinking "What console is this on" the demonstrator tilted the controller down as if saying "Hey, see those colorful buttons?!" He did it RIGHT when people were saying "No way is this current gen."

Edit: If they saw those controllers, then it could have been ANY console. I believe you can literally swap around EVERYTHING on those controllers. Buttons, sticks, everything.

Remember this is suppose to be a open world game. This scene alone is impossible with the near lack of aliasing and the damage on the cars and lighting on those damage part, in particular the blue car hitting the pole

according to some website it's indeed a first pic at a first next gen title. An open world game taking place in Chicago

IGN said the press release doesn't have any consoles listed. And the official site doesn't either.

That'll be the PC version, running on a pair of 680s or 7970s, behave.

What? We were all saying it was PC from the start. We were saying it was a PC game being played with an Xbox controller. That was the 100% consensus. I'm confused.

To be honest, beside the depth of field and the anti aliasing I don't see it a generation ahead.
The damage on the cars could've been scripted and the rain reflections are nothing we haven't seen already.
Don't get me wrong, of course it looks better than what PS360 can do, but it's mostly the DOF and the first next-gen titles need to be more impressive than that to me.

    I am impressed. Looks great.

I think is likely being made to be ported to next gen from Sony and MS. It could already be in the works for WiiU, but we still don't know enough of it's capability, we should no more soon. Personally I would bet I think WiiU will be capable of that.

And a PC release in the mean time will only benefit them if it's good.
