Man if only I had the sense to finish games before starting another. It makes sense on so many levels. But variety for me is so important I can't manage that unfortunately.
I think I am near the end on Y4In fact I think I am going to finish it off now, started to miss it.
All that stuff in solidsnake's post sounds great btw. Long live the Yakuza series.
WOW, that looks incredible. I've never played one of these games before, is it similar to GTA? there seems to be a lot of different elements
oh, LOL... I misread you.
at the moment I'm fighting my way through Rainbow Moon so it'll be a while before I buy another game. I'm in the LBPKarting Beta by the way. Please don't ask me about create, it won't be pretty
These guys rival ND and Quantic when it comes to character models
Okuda's character is surrounded by mystery. The character is apparently pursuing the main characters.
Katsuya is the head of a talent production company with ties to organized crime.
Daigo first appeared in the Yakuza series in Yakuza 2. Tokushige says that his line count has gone up many times for Yakuza 5.
Mayumi works at a club in Fukuoka. She plays a major part in the story of Kiryu and the other main characters and will also appear in the other four cities.
Baba is a prisoner in Hokkaido whose life changes greatly when he meets Taiga Saejima.
http://www.4gamer.net/games/139/G013951/20120717037/Takasugi is a loan shark from Nagoya who's pursuing former baseball star Tatsuo Shinada, one of the game's five main characters.

ND... Maybe. Quantic Dream, no way.
- A LunaticYou wanna destroy the nation, balance the budget.
I'd say both, but Yakuza also uses plenty of video to do the cutscenes... the ingame stuff doesn't look nearly as good as this, usually.

I don't think these models are anywhere near Kara/Beyond.
Couldn't they find a better translation of the title other than "Person who fulfills dreams"? I guess we don't really have much of a word for that in the english language. Dreamweaver maybe (technically not a word)? I dunno.

The models aren't much different... it's the lighting that sets them apart. At least I assume that.

What an interesting comparison. What are the implications for next gen? Finished! Over! We get what we need and start to invent and create. It was fun having a new console every year. I truly enjoyed it, but the future is here now and I'm also looking forward to that. next gen will be the end of this puerile debate about graphics and be more about what ND and QD are striving for. It's been fun having my little black box under my TV. Just one more time and that's it folks

I have to agree with Frosty. Although I think the pics above look great, I think they don't come close to QD... or even TLOU (if I'm being honest)
sharpness of image is the great deception that PC fanatics have fallen for, not console owners
Where do you see more polys? I can't see a lot of edge in either model. And... yay DOF... for gods sake^^ (and yes, Yakuza has DOF)
EDIT: In any case... it's rather pointless. Yakuza uses FMV for nearly all cutscenes anyhow. And it's a lower budget third party game, too, with quite a small demography.
