Thread: Official Sony Conference Thread

  1. Lol only the one I really care about (Sony) is at an odd time for London. I'll stay up, it better be worth it. Actually I might care about Ninty's more, new format = excitement.

I'll watch the Nintendo one, current gen or not I like new hardware smell. Also I secretly hope for the return of Cammy.

And yeah, Pikmin 3 hell yeah.

Sony obviously. Microsoft one will be good if you want to see the new COD. You can switch it off after that.

Ubishit can eat shit and die... Except for the new 2D Rayman of course. Oh yeah I'll take a look at the new Ass Creed and it's no doubt paper thin gameplay. EA I'll watch, they do deliver the goods. Bitta Crysis 3 Battlefield BC 3 etc. Sony need to push that Vita. It's gathering dust right now.

Yah, kinda looking forward to it.

  6. Oh I am gonna watch every conference from big 3 to publisher ones, I'll just have the keenest eye on Sony.

Any bets? I say Agent won't be shown, The Last Guardian will be a no show either and Syphon Filter PS3 will be the last game at the conference.

  8. It'll be the biggest surprise for me if Rockstar shows up at E3. Not their scene. So, yeah, no AGENT.

TLG I expect at TGS, so I am with you on that as well.

SF as the end-show? I don't reckon so. Although it is a good bet seeing as that's the only rumoured key franchise they haven't revealed yet. But I am expecting OnLive as the last hurrah if the rumours are true. And the meaty middle will be The Last Of Us gameplay I'd imagine....Or maybe the other way around come to think of it.

Also maybe other functionality/service announcements as well, seeing as we had 12+ hours of maintenances few times past few months with nothing to show for it. Maybe it was all for OnLive but a big FW will be welcome since PS3 hasn't had a proper FW update for what must be a year or more now.

A new Ghost Recon and Assassins Creed 3 have both been leaked by another trigger happy retailer for Vita. Rumour has it that Castlevania Lord of shadows 2 will also be announced next to the home console versions by Kojima at E3.

I would love to see a new deal with ThatGameCompany, also as Kra mentioned what Sucker Punch is doing since the team is different for Sly 4. God of War single player reveal, new Last of Us Trailer, Little big Planet Karting building system, and Sony's Battle Royal gameplay are of course expected, but still, nice to see updates to, as all look like potential AAA games. And just one "new" PS3 game from Sony and one from third party I think will be enough. Guerilla Game, Evolution, Polyphony, and Media Molecule could all show off what they are doing currently, or it could be the rumored Syphone Filter.

As far as new content though, I'm expecting and wishing the bulk of that comes from the Vita side. It's a new platform, and between Sony's WWS, third party, and the split between big budget titles and more affordable PSN games, I think the list should easily hit 15+ new titles for Vita MINIMUM. Perhaps not a scene for Monster Hunter because that's what TGS is for, but I definitely want to see more inspired titles like Sound Shapes and Gravity Rush for Vita. Hopefully some third party love as well from Sega, Namco, Capcom & Nippon..,Very excited about Sony's show, as it will mostly focus on games games, and more games. Runner-up is Nintendo because even if the show is stellar, it still means a $300+ purchase this holiday season to get these experiences, while 3DS is a much easier pill to swallow, but there is where I would rather place most things on Vita's bigger screen and more comfortable analog setup, so unless Vita releases completely suck at e3, I'm hoping third party aren't just throwing everything Nintendo's way this time around.

I doubt Polyphony will show anything, or if, it will be a business-ish report about the GT Academy.

I do hope Rockstar pitch up and announce the release date for GTA V. The sooner they get that game out then the sooner we will see sequels for Red Dead, LA Noir and Max Payne.

If Agent wasn't cancelled by now, it's going the way of LA Noire... who knows. Sony might not want to put more money into it, as they should save it for other ventures (though a new IP is always nice).

I just hope we'll see some cool things. I mean, something cool. I am starving for a new GTA.

I gotta wonder what has been wrong with Agent. Surely that and FFVSXIII will go multiplatform if they ever see the light of day.

  16. Nothing wrong with it, case of Sony announcing it too soon I think. I did read reports that Sony called Rockstar at the last minute desperate for an announcement and Rockstar rushed the logo for the conference.

For all we know, it's all going as planned at Rockstar HQ, they've released many games since AGENT's announcement. I reckon it's their next big game after GTAV. And I am definitely expecting multi-plat.

I won't expect GTAV at E3, Rockstar doesn't do E3 (other than Moore temp-tattooing GTAIV for timed-exclusive DLC and Sony very hastily announcing a game).

I am expecting VITA VITA VITA as Omni said from Sony though, primarily. More than PS3 ports I am hoping.

Well, R* games have all come from different studios. Did we find out which is working on Agent? Also, I'd imagine a GTA announcement to happen at the MS presser instead. GTA seemed more aligned with the 360 this gen than the PS3.

  19. DLC exclusivity stuff happened but I still think majority see it as a PlayStation franchise. And the director of Rockstar Studios went on bit of a anti-MS shout after the game release saying the disc space was a huge concern and also praised PS3 for it's rendering, adding personally it's his favourite version due to him preferring the soft look PS3 rendering puts out.

More than anything GTAV related, I just want to see wtf they are going to do space wise. No way will it be 1 disc and I am thinking no way will they do "switch disc" everytime you cross a loading line on a map. So yeah.....Anyway, don't mean to make this a GTA thread.

AGENT is by Rockstar's A-Team and was hyped by the studio as the 'next GTA'.

Hm... yeah, the DLC came out first over there... but that so long ago, nobody remembers^ Not sure if MS wants to afford it... but there's not much else they do have, besides Halo and "first come DLC" for BLOPS2.
