Frosty told me about it on Facebook yesterday. I checked the mod logs and there is no entry regarding the thread having been moved, edited, deleted, changed, etc.... Chris checked the database and it's simply not there.

At first I thought it might have become orphaned when we upgraded the forum but even an orphaned thread would exist in the database. It just wouldn't have a forum index to tie itself into.

Anybody willing to save all 100+ pages from their cache? Might be a way to reinsert the info into the database.

I'd say don't bother... it was speculation and old discussion anyways. Most of the info isn't correct anyways. Soon we're getting into the juicy stuff... as long as this thread doesn't get deleted, I am ok with it^^

I too don't see the need for a fully separate section yet..if ever. PSP transitions to Vita board just fine and expect the PS3 to PS4 to do the same. As we get to E3, I probably will add PS4 to the forum name (as I did with Vita to the PSP forum name).

I think it's almost time to create a seperate forum board for the PS4 ans XBOX720. When was created the PS3 one ? at least 2 years before releasing. And from what we know, we are around 2 years from the releassing of the PS4 and even less for the XBOX720.

But I take you proposal, depending on what we learn at E3, we'll see exactly what to do : seperate forum board or updating the PS3 one.

There was much more PS3 talk (both in the industry and on the forum itself) at this point prior to release than we currently have for PS4. Remember that the the PS2 board was far less active than the PS3 board was. We don't have that dynamic going on yet.

Well... I am not sure how far we are from release... my guess really is 2013 for both sequels to PS3 and 360. The difference to the last generational rumors is, that there are MUCH more viable options now, as PC CPUs evolved quite a lot since 2004-2006. There was NO CPU quite as fast as CELL in that timeframe. Even todays CPUs often don't reach that high a performance. On the other hand, it's a lot harder to program for, thus using a slower, yet easier CPU (say 360) is probably the preferred way to go. Hence I say AMD has a huge chance to get into the console market with a FULL console (not just GPUs). I don't think it will happen, though. There are other, very interesting options as well, without going full on PC.

I don't know what is kalypso but here is another rumor :

Earlier today Kalypso Media published a press release for Demonicon and guess what it carries a text indirectly stating that next generation console (PS4 and Xbox 360) will launch in Q1 of 2013.

Next Generation ConsoleCheck out the text that features in a press release for Demonicon below.

"Today, Kalypso Media is pleased to release new screenshots which illustrate the darkness that permeates the world of Demonicon, the action-RPG set for release on PC and next generation consoles in Q1 2013."

Yes you read it right, it states next generation consoles in first quater of 2013. This text from Kalypso might be refering to Wii U but that extra "S" in the word CONSOLES raises many eyebrows.
