i've have got the code from my PS3 and put it into the Vita for remote play so i know the PS3 is set to connect, but when i try to use the Vita to access the content on the PS3 it tells me i may need to register the PS3... it says something about having to sign into PSN, but that didn't seem to make any difference. i've also set it up for the Vita to be able to turn my PS3 on.
any ideas?
edit: right, so i managed to get remote play working... i forgot to select remote play in the network section. but it seems as if you need to leave the ps3 in the state in order to remote play. in that case, how can you turn the PS3 on with the Vita?!

Enable remote start in settings... this puts the PS3 in sort of a deep sleep mode (not completely off), which sucks power... so I don't recommend it.

No... just switch off the console... if you use Wifi with your PS3, the Wifi LED should stay on.
