BUT...depending on how another major factor plays out, I may only take it for a few months before I have to put it off for a year. I'll know more on all that either this week or next.

Good for you. Had Networking in my first Semester. Didn't much care for it other than the basics, though. Personal taste it is^^ (Nothing against networking itself, but the nitty gritty is what I don't like). Had a good professor, though. And old timer from IBM (i.e. he REALLY knew what he was talking about, unlike some other professors here^^).

Another note, I use Snow Leopard and Windows. For what I'm doing however Windows is a little cumbersome, it's just a little awkward and slow to me now. AVID do their BETA testing on Mac hardware though, more shortcuts available (having a Command key), more stable... just more sense to use Mac. I don't understand people buying Mac's for just Office/IT processing means though... Windows's can do this fine.
