    The Last Story

First English trailer is out. The characters look pretty cool.

Anyone else from Europe picking this up or just me?

I'm so glad these are finally coming out. I knew they were the whole time just damn, why has it taken so long?

fook! I can't play this or Xenoblade in what seems like FOREVER!

I bought Star Ocean out of frustration, and I don't think I like it

Because without the "1337" and "Cowboys!", we'd be the Wyld Stallynz.

Getting this and Xenoblade Chronicles really helps fill out my early-mid 2012 game purchases.

    Hopefully Pandora's Tower follows.

Anyone pick this up today? I got mine, but when I powered on my Wii, it did nothing. So no shiny new game-playing for me tonight.

It seems it's been that way forever.

Why not not eat pigs together?

Did the wii not power on? Unplug it and hold it like a football and walk around your house for a while. For some reason the wii builds up static electricity and then won't power on. Have had so many people want to buy a new power cord because of this.

I picked up my copy yesterday. But I'm still working on XenoBlade Chronicles (110 hours) so it may be another week or two before I can really dig into The Last Story.

I did play the opening tutorial just to get a feel for the game and the characters. Looks like it's going to be a good one.

The power light comes on. The disc drive can eject and take discs. The remotes do not sync to the system, and nothing is displayed on the TV.

I picked up The Last Story on Friday also when Gamestops were starting to get their shipments in. Probably won't get into it until later in the week.

That kind of sounds like what my Wii has been doing for a long while now. The way I get it back to normal is that I just unplug the Wii from the AC adapter and just let it sit there for a few minutes. After that, I just plug the AC adapter back into the Wii and it works normally again. So it could be a bad AC adapter, but like D3adcell said, it could be that static problem. So try either method and it should be fine.

And to help prevent the problem every time I turn my Wii on, I just unplug my Wii when it's not in use. It does suck if you use WiiConnect24 a lot, but it's worked well for me and my Wii is ready to go once I plug it back in.

Yeah, neither unplugging it nor the football method have worked thus far. I think my roommate just wants to send it in to Nintendo, so that they can hopefully pull his save files from the seventh level of Hell that this thing is on.

Xenoblade is miles better but be warned it's very time intensive. The last Story is a bit more linear and personal and will take you about 30 to 40 hours assuming you do mostly everything in the game like i did.
