Yeah i have definitely been trying to find all the lorestones because all of them individually and collectively for the extra area XP give you massive XP. Im even doing some echostone quests with the lore cairns now.

Damn i just nailed 6 medium tough enemies in reckoning mode and got about 11000 XP and a trophy for my troubles Theres no better feeling in this game than nailing reckoning mode for massive damage and XP.

yeah, reckoning mode is great. what i like about the game is that it is very giving in all areas. you don't have to wait too long for reckoning mode, you always get drops, there is never a shortage of money or any other sort of drop and the quest keep coming thick and fast. it's sort of the antipathies of Demon's Souls to me.

i think this is one instance when they should never have released a demo. i've lost count of people on N4G saying they'll pass on this game because the demo was linear and boring. no matter how many times i try to explain that it was only the tutorial level and that it opens up once you get into the game, they just won't have it. at least it sold well though. an interesting thing is that it actually sold better on the 360 even in Europe...

First Kingdoms of Amalur story DLC announced

The first major story expansion for action RPG Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning arrives on 20th March, publisher EA has announced.

Titled The Legend of Dead Kel, it weaves "a mysterious tale of intrigue, danger and dark magic on the island of Gallows End", according to the the announcement.

Expect new sidequests, enemies and a new dungeon type called Dverga Fastings. The DLC also offers three new Twists of Fate, eight additional armour sets, eight extra shields and 18 new weapons.

You'll also gain access to Gravehal Keep - a huge estate "with multiple buildings and a full retinue of retainers, each with their own back stories, side quests, perks and quirks."

EA claims that the DLC increases the total amount of traversable land in the game by 15 per cent.

A price tag has not yet been announced.

The debut offering from developer 38 Studios launched on PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 earlier this month to measured acclaim.

"It's an unglamorous kind of success story, admittedly. And perhaps it's worrying for 38 Studios that the bland fantasy world it's hanging its future on is the least enticing aspect of its debut game," read Eurogamer's 8/10 Kingdoms of Amalur review.

"But it's not all elbow grease - Kingdoms of Amalur adds a splash of colour and a lick of polish to the open-world RPG, and they couldn't be more welcome."

Im also about 105 hours into the game and halfway through Klurikon near the end now. These guys certainly didnt skimp on any content. Ive completed over 180 quests up to now. My character is a beast also. Im almost level 40 and my armour rating is like near 1000 I created some monster armour pieces with some flawless and stunning epic gems. Unoftrunately the downside of this is that i had to change the difficulty level about a quater through the game and even now its barely challenging. I wish they had a very hard setting

Anyways im also looking forward to the DLC but it will have to wait until ive played ME3 two or three times.

Im wearing light Rogue armour for my shadow caster smart ass You are wearing heavy armour for your might class. Currently im on a 1056 armour rating. I could get higher but at the moment if i increase my armour rating i will lower my health and mana pool which are also both sitting over 1000 points. Its a trade off im not willing to make. I just reached level 40 and unfortunately thats the level cap

Im pretty much right at the tip of Klurikon now so not long to go. Good thing also because The Last Story just arrived in the post looking all pretty in white and i picture Sakaguchi san not being best pleased with me playing Amalur over his game

i'm on the second to last area. i've lowered my armour a little because i wasn't getting any magical benefits from it. made some new stuff with regens and fire bonuses... it's like killing magots with a sledge hammer at the moment. nothing wrong with a sense of extreme power though lol. i've seen some DLC up. mainly armour and such. when is that proper DLC out again?
