Nice find! Also, the shades of green seen in that little screen remind of ICO. But it's going to be awkward to see the little boy with just a wooden stick or any of the other weapons. Well, the light saber easter egg was something else...

come on now, this is more or less verification that it's coming to the Vita too!

    Coming to Vita as well?

A Vita version would be pretty cool!
    and this interests me:

SuperBot is an independent studio, but Sony played a big part in getting us started.
    weird or what?

why do they have that white over-line on all the characters? Don't like it...

Can't really say I am all that impressed with it really. I like the Hades stage, but the Hydra in R & C stage just looks silly in my opinion, I kind of see what they are getting at with the mash up of the stages, but it just doesn't really gel well for me. Nor do some of the characters, as Radec and Fat Princess really look odd to me of the bunch so far. Also the straight up similarity of it being Smash Bros has me a bit down, as I was hoping it would attempt something new, though I suppose this may ultimately be a safer bet. After seeing the Superbot website I would have much preferred a Robot combat game, full 3 dimensions, with an expansive sandboxy type battlefield with the various robot styles and sizes.

well it was the unveiling, I'm sure there's still a lot of the game we haven't seen, and graphical effects are one of the last things to really get polished...

Regardless, gotta really see the gameplay...

How will the rest of the cast avoid instant death from Cole McGrath? I mean the guys technically can't even punch him without getting shocked from touching him.

notice there isn't a cell shaded effect with these players. i'm thinking perhaps it only appears when you have specials

i'm just wondering if the roster of character are any indication of what games to expect in the coming months. we've recently had Twisted Metal and there are rumours that a new GOW and a new Killzone are in production as well as LBPVita (coincidence?)... so, could we be looking at a Fat Princes sequel and a Parappa game? it would make sense that this game could promote these franchises and visa versa.

The characters from 3rd party stuff I would love to see and that they would be crazy to not have: Cloud or Sephiroth (just because well people would go nuts), Snake or I would actually love to see Gray Fox or Ocelot.

Well Cloud and Sephiroth are sword-based fighters so Fox might be overkill depending on the roster, but yeah, would love to see him, he would definitely be a quick-agile character, but Raiden might be in it too

Dart from Legend of Dragoon, kid from Chrono Cross, Jak, Ratchet, maybe even get Capcom to put in Ken/Ryu. I think this is probably the highlight of the game since it seems it won't be something drastically different or new than playing Smash brothers (which is not a bad thing, but the freshness is gone unless the roster is amazing). I think Sony really needs to go all out on the character appeal, and the studio being fighting game fans helps a lot, as the title will likely be a refined version of Smash Brothers. With new legendary iconic characters to play with (no one can beat Mario though) it will likely be accepted as kinda the "EVERYONE ELSE" superstar game, whereas Smash is largely just Nintendo's babies.

A brawl match starting with Ryu, Drake, Cloud, Parrappa? I gotta admit, that's kinda sick...

Because a video camera always adds a certain layer of post processing to the image, resulting in "more vibrant colors and less jaggies". It's sort of a supersampling effect. But I must also say that the gameplay looked a bit more interesting, to me (as one might remember I said I didn't care for that game at all... I still don't, but I am less "less interested" by it).
    Kept you waiting

  18. so, less disinterested, you might say.

CONFIRMED: Cole MacGrath Playable in PlayStation All-Stars

    Kyle from Vivid Gamer writes:

The complete PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale character roster is being kept under close wraps, but certain first-party Sony characters seem like a shoe-in to join the fight. Among them is Cole MacGrath, hero (or anti-hero) of the stellar superhero series inFAMOUS. Earlier this evening, Cole's real-life counterpart - actor Eric Ladin - tweeted to Vivid Gamer that he has stepped back into the mo-cap studio to play Cole MacGrath in a game that is NOT an inFAMOUS title.
