Debate Threads

As you may have noticed, this thread has a bold prefix "Debate". This prefix will be used to denote threads geared toward a subject of contention that may not be suitable for general discussion regarding a specific topic.

You can add a Debate prefix when creating a thread. Or if the moderators and administrators split a thread due to a heated debate, the new thread can be given the Debate prefix as well.

This prefix will serve as an indicator for that who do not wish to engage in or weed through a debate just to casually discuss a topic. That said, all debates in general threads in any of the video game forums will be split off into their own Debate threads and a link to the new thread provided in the old thread so that those who wish to continue engaging in the debate may do so.

This will help keep the mentality of "X fan keeps wandering into Y section to troll", etc. from creating a bad forum experience for some users. Some of us enjoy debating, others just want to get news about games/consoles/etc they like without reading other folks saying why they do not like it. This solves the issue. This will allow us to have a community that keeps everyone happy, those who just want discussion and those who want debate as well.
