this feels dumb. like a waste of the cloud options. i'm hoping that since this was just the 1st day that this isn't all that is going to be announced. because if so i'm even more disappointed this yr than last.
i've been looking at the onlive game service because a friend of mines has it. its all very capable of being done on xbox. why hasn't it been done. games on demand would actually be on demand. may actually be worth the increased price tag. may actually make the xbox future proof in a sense because it wouldn't matter how big the game was. yeah the game may be 4 discs or whatever in the store but on live its not. for petes sake theyre using their name. if that's not a beckon i don't know what is.

Very nice. I am thinking I might pick a 360 up at a Xmas sale. Maybe a MW3 bundle or something. Just because I am a nerd and want to have all consoles, not to mention 90% of multiplat games run and look better on it AND, and this is a small reason but a reason nonetheless, most online commentators when playing with fans play on 360 because you don't have to be their friends to invite them to a game or something like that.
So I am glad new UI is good. I love how MS redoes their dashboard now and then, love getting that 'fresh console' feel with a big update like that. And improved performance is a huge boost as well, as Segitz said, would love some optimisation from Sony but been out many years now and other than footprint reduction (and it's still very high according to devs), Sony is barely touching XMB other than adding more items on it.

Smoother, faster, easier. Loving it. I didn't think I'd like the box design but hey, it flows, works and looks great, kudos to MS for proving me wrong on that one.

I hope I can find a good deal on a new Xbox as well, can I get one for $100 yet? Not sure what I'd play besides Alan Wake and Tales of Symphonia, but I do like to have all good consoles before the gen is out. Then again, should I just save it for Vita?
But Vita doesn't have any cool Avatars like Xbox..then again I don't want to play the PS2 HD games with the Xbox controller (MGS/DMC) and some of them are PS3 exclusives...Hmm...

I think the new dashboard is majorly ugly. Also, when I go into my list of arcade games ("list", heh), I'm glad it actually loads quickly, but there is so much I have that it feels like it takes so long scrolling horizontally through all the boxes.
What is wrong with just reading and text? I don't feel like everything has to be so visual.
Oh but wait, with Kinect, everything needs to be ginormous so we can gesture over it.

I like the new dash - up to number 3 now
But somethings never change I dont like how Zune works; what would have been cool is Zune working inside the main tabs - instead everytime you want to play a video it rips you out and takes its sweet time to load up.
Cloud saves I have not tested yet but pretty nice 512mb of available anywhere storage to play with.
Also watching larry go on about the dash he shows a section called Indi games? I'l guessing Aussies dont get that
