Award-Wining Developer Makes its Worldwide Multiplatform Debut with an Explosive Spy-Fi Adventure
LOS ANGELES--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- A shadowy organization has threatened to take over the world and there's only one team that can stop it: Overstrike 9. This afternoon during the Electronic Arts Inc. (NASDAQ: ERTS) press conference at the Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3), EA and independent developer Insomniac Games (creator of the Ratchet & Clank™ and Resistance™ franchises) announced the first details of the highly-anticipated game, Overstrike. Combining Insomniac's knack for imaginative weaponry with immersive and witty storytelling, Overstrike is a four-player cooperative action game featuring a team of elite agents called Overstrike 9. Comprised of an ex-mercenary, a lifelong thief, a gifted young scientist and a decorated detective, the members of Overstrike 9 are considered outcasts within their own organization, but are the best team suited to stop a global terrorist group from attempting to wipe out humankind. Overstrike 9 uses lethal teamwork and an arsenal of fringe-tech gadgets to infiltrate and destroy enemy strongholds. Overstrike marks Insomniac's first multiplatform release and will be available on the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system.
"Overstrike presents a unique blend of features that have long been a part of the Insomniac DNA: high powered gadgets, action-heavy gameplay, memorable characters in a deep and mysterious universe and of course a touch of humor," said Ted Price, founder and CEO of Insomniac Games. "And since this is our first multiplatform game, we're especially excited to introduce ourselves to a new audience — one which may not have experienced our previous games."
Overstrike will launch on the Xbox 360® videogame and entertainment system and PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system. For more information on Insomniac Games and Overstrike visit www.overstrikegame.com.
America...fuck yeah...
Seriously reminds me of that, I am interested.
Looks like we could see this game at the end of the summer, Gamescom?
http://www.computerandvideogames.com...ke-e3-no-show/According to Gibeau, the extra time in the oven will help the shooter make a better impression when it resurfaces. "It felt like we would stand out better later in the summer once we've hit some key milestones and we're able to show off more," he said.
Overstrike is now Fuse, Now a first person shooter. Game was overhauled since it was announced.

Thought there'd be more interest in an Insomniac game. 6 more days
Change in character design

Somehow I don't like a single character based on the (bland) design. :/
This is the life we chose, the life we lead...and there is only one guaranty...
...None of us will see heaven!
Suppose to have a trailer but legal issues came up, should still have previews and GTTV coverage tomorrow
http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/...ghts-the-fuse/Hi everyone! After a long journey navigating the sometimes-challenging waters of new IP development, we’re proud to reveal Fuse. Fuse, formerly known as Overstrike, is a third person, four-player cooperative game that centers around a volatile energy source that has fallen into the wrong hands. The substance, called Fuse, has been acquired by a terrorist organization known as Raven and Overstrike 9 has been hired to track down and stop it from setting off a deadly arms race.
You can play with up to three of your friends, and each member of Overstrike 9 has its own signature Fuse-powered weapon. Play as Dalton Brooks, an ex-mercenary who has a Mag-shield that acts as portable cover and unleashes a devastating blast that liquefies opponents. Take on the role of Naya Deveraux, who can cloak to flank enemies and fire out mini-black holes that implode its victims. As Jacob Kimble, you can keep enemies at a distance with the Arc Shot and shoot out charged bolts that chain react and fry enemies. Then there’s Izzy Sinclair, who can either launch out med beacons to heal teammates or fire her Shatter Gun to crystallizes and explode nearby threats. If you’re not sure who you want to play, you can use the LEAP feature to instantly switch to any available character. A good tactic when you’re in a pinch!

These guys used to be trend setters but this just feels like Gears of Generic with cool weapons. I wonder if theres an original idea left at Insomniac.
Seems like a focus group was used to come to the first style, then Insomniac changed it further to what we know. It looks pretty bland to me. I am out, especially after hearing about the focus group testing. Really wish that these 'artists' would just create what they fucking want to create.
Rant over.
Well, if it continues to change, who knows what the final product will be.
I'm glad, for example, that Borderlands completely changed its art style.
Maybe something good will happen for this one, because yeah, it's looking pretty bland right now.
I can never argue with a good 4 player co-op game though... if it turns out to be one.
Generic Box art for Generic game
compared to the orginal
Keighley even commenting on it

Keighley. God of gaming (journalism). Friendly yet lethal. Gets the job done.
It's so weird! Im trying to force myself to play All 4 One. I just can't bring myself to it *sigh*
What did they do to this game... unless this game was another Halo I could not buy this game because of that art and that box.
They've updated their color palette, 12 min gameplay demo

Anything about a more interesting gameplay in that colour palette?![]()
They added orange? Battlefield influence I bet :P
