Halo : CE Anniversary and Halo 4

343 Industries is remaking Halo 1 to be released this fall and we're getting the first game in "an all new trilogy" towards the end of 2012.

    So, green space marine discussion?

I am most curious about the multiplayer. The video I saw a halo 3 map and it said 7 of the best maps from all 3 games. I wonder what engine and weapon selection it will use.

it's the halo reach engine for the multiplayer - so might be two discs.

I'm not sure about the two disc thing, but it is definitely running on Reach's engine given the assassinations in the reveal trailer. I will say that the remake doesn't look nearly as visually impressive as it should, but I am interested in going through the campaign again. OH BOY, HERE COMES THE LIBRARY!

Also, it's pretty weak that it'll only be 7 maps from all the games. I'd rather just see remakes of all the maps from the first game.

When the shit hits the fan, you need the chief.
☑ First they ignore you (Pre-2007)
☑ Then they laugh at you (2007-2008)
☑ Then they fight you (2008-2010)
☑ Then they copy you (2011-2012)
    ☐ Then you win...

  6. Unlike Halo 4, which was vague and jarring I look forward to this game and unlike ODST they got this one priced right at $40. Day one purchase for me!

pretty cool that you can change the graphics back to the original on a fly.

Ask a stupid question, but is this the correct order to play them to follow the story:

    Halo Reach
    Halo Anniversary
    Halo 2
    Halo ODST
    Halo 3

And errmm... Where would Halo Wars fit in, between Reach and Anniversary?

I think thats is where Wars fits in, however I'd say as far as story goes skip reach

    You said nipple.

Why would I want to skip Reach, surely it all glues in nicely, you see MC at the pillar of autumn at the end, all good to start Halo Anniversary.

Reach is to Halo as the Prequels are to Star Wars.

Somewhat enjoyable, some fun action scenes but they vomit on existing lore

If you just play the games it's probably 'fine' but if you read the books which bungie said were official parts of the timeline, than the game (even 2 and 3) are way off the mark.

    I would recommend reach though.

Ahh, that's OK. I haven't nor do I intend to read the Halo books. As long as there isn't the equivalent of a Halo jar jar binks in Reach I'm happy.
