I am most curious about the multiplayer. The video I saw a halo 3 map and it said 7 of the best maps from all 3 games. I wonder what engine and weapon selection it will use.
I'm not sure about the two disc thing, but it is definitely running on Reach's engine given the assassinations in the reveal trailer. I will say that the remake doesn't look nearly as visually impressive as it should, but I am interested in going through the campaign again. OH BOY, HERE COMES THE LIBRARY!
Also, it's pretty weak that it'll only be 7 maps from all the games. I'd rather just see remakes of all the maps from the first game.
When the shit hits the fan, you need the chief.
Unlike Halo 4, which was vague and jarring I look forward to this game and unlike ODST they got this one priced right at $40. Day one purchase for me!
There is also a pretty good video showing a bit more of it:

if i had a box, i'd buy this one day one also. a proper remake.
pretty cool that you can change the graphics back to the original on a fly.
I think thats is where Wars fits in, however I'd say as far as story goes skip reach
don't forget to take time to eat at your nearest food nipple
Reach is to Halo as the Prequels are to Star Wars.
Somewhat enjoyable, some fun action scenes but they vomit on existing lore
If you just play the games it's probably 'fine' but if you read the books which bungie said were official parts of the timeline, than the game (even 2 and 3) are way off the mark.
I would recommend reach though.
