We weren't meant to. Next year is Metal Gear's 25th anniversary, so expect something by then. I guess they're redesigning Rising and giving birth to MGS5 as we speak.

We haven't got a console game since 2008 and it looks like we won't get a good one for at least another 2 years, I want new games.

Because it's an aberration.

I would like to have a new MGS game, but then again I don't think they can make a very fresh brand new title given how they can't really squeeze more out of the Metal Gear timeline and whatnot. I guess a The Boss prequel could happen.

Thats not really clear at the moment because at the conference both the Zone of enders and MGS collection had the logo on it. IGNorant have a couple of theories i posted in the NGP thread.

The MGS1 logo appears in the Kojima Productions video and Hideo points to and speaks about it. In the slide prior to the ZOE one.

Maybe they didn't include MGS1 because it features some Playstation and Sony products in it. ( like the part with psycho mantis reading tge save data, or mentioning the rumbles on the dual shock. ) So couldn't work on 360

Some other things

- MGS 2 and 3 are done by Bluepoint games, same guys that did GoW Collection, MGS3 60 FPS
- METAL GEAR SOLID (Gemuakaibusu Edition) Includes product code (PS3 ® version only), not sure what Gemuakaibusu edition is, have to wait for the english site.
- PS3 version includes a code for PSP Peace Walker
