Hello there fellow E-mpire members and anonymous viewers. I know you've opened this thread with some extreme anticipation and excitement upon wondering what exactly "Weekly Gaming Sessions with the E-mpire" is. In this thread, I will tell you all about what it is. Do you have your excitement pants on? You should, because here we go.

Weekly Gaming Sessions with the E-mpire is exactly what it sounds like it'd be. A gaming session between the E-mpire staff and the E-mpire members that, coincidentally, happen on a weekly basis. We find it entirely necessary to bond with our members and to interact with our members. You name a site where the staff members interact with their forum members! Each and every section of this very site (Nintendo Now, Playstation Insider, and Xbox Evolved) will participate in these weekly events. Each and every week, each section will be playing an entirely different game. It won't matter if the games are newly released or not, but gosh darnit, we'll be playing them anyway! Each game will, obviously, have an online multiplayer feature, though. So, I hope you all have a good connection.

Do you want to know the really cool thing about these weekly events? I bet you do, so I'm going to, willingly, tell you. Every once and a while, the developers of the game we're playing, may come in and check in on the event and play with us. It's not always a guarantee, though. There's nothing cooler than playing a game with the people who developed the game you love. Want to know the even cooler part? Fine. You'll even be eligible to win some cool prizes from either us or from the developers themselves.

Okay, this is the last cool thing I'll say, I promise. The weekly events will be completely livestreamed and you'll be able to communicate with us (and, occasionally, the developers) through the Skype service. Why Skype? It's a lot more clear and consistent than console headsets, also easier to upload to sites like Youtube, where some of these gameplay sessions will sometimes be uploaded to. Don't want to do that? Well check out that fancy little toolbar at the bottom of your screen. Do you see it? Ok, now do you see that cool "Video Chat" button? Press that thingy-ma-jig and you'll be video/audio chatting with us, all in real time.

To the many people who lurk our forums and never choose to become official members, this is your time to join the E-mpire. The only way you can get in on any of this gaming action is if you join our forums. Come on, we know you want to. You don't want to miss all of these opportunities. I mean, you could brag to your friends that you played with the developers of your favorite game and won some prizes!

These weekly events will be held every Saturday with fluctuating time frames. The second Weekly Gaming Session with the E-mpire event will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2011. Be there, or be square...or something else you could force to rhyme with "there!"

On June 12, 2011:

• Nintendo Now will be playing Capcom's Monster Hunter 3.
• In celebration of the Starhawk announcement, Playstation Insider will be playing Warhawk (with prizes).
• Xbox Evolved will be playing Borderlands. Contact Marlon (Tokoshi_x) for details.

If you own the above games, hop in on the event. If you don't own them? Go get them!

For now, this will be a forum-only event, but if this gets popular enough, we won't mind spreading this into other mediums.

I'm debating what game Nintendo Now should play this Saturday (June 4). I'm debating between Monster Hunter 3 and Goldeneye. I think I'm going to go with Monster Hunter since I could pick an empty lobby for everyone to join in. What do you guys want? Monster Hunter or Goldeneye? I obviously want to play a game more people would bother playing. I'm also contemplating changing the days from Saturdays to Fridays.

I know there's quite a few people on here who own Monster Hunter 3 and enjoy it, so feel free to add me.

How this will work: I'm going to give you guys a specific room to join and that's where we'll all meet and greet. Since this is a team game, there obviously won't be any prizes given out, so don't expect those at the moment. I'm trying to get some developers on-board, so be patient. Again, I'll let you know everything you need to know when things get settled.

My Monster Hunter 3 account: Shinsuke - Y9LHHE. Add me when you get the chance and I'll be sure to confirm your friend requests.

The E-mpire will be meeting in the "Recruiting - Greed 3" server, in "City Gate 40." This server is never used, and everyone there should be from E-mpire.

I plan on starting the event at 7PM EST (4PM PST; 5PM CST), and it'll last until whatever time I want it to. We can play all night if we have to. We probably won't, but the option is there. It also depends on how many people choose to participate as well. It was no one last time, and I don't want that to happen again. We're doing this for you guys.
