    What Franchise....

Not found on Wii from 3rd parties are you wanting on Project Cafe the most?

For me, probably Bioshock. Mass Effect and Fallout not far behind.
The current US government is the type of government the founding fathers fought against and warned us about.

I really don't think I can do this list, I'd probably REALLY have to think about it. All of the games I'm ever envious of are the exclusives for the other consoles. If I'm required to say a franchise I'd say:

    Elder Scrolls
    Battlefield
    Left 4 Dead

    Assassin's Creed
    Batman
    Bioshock
    Dead Space
    Metal Gear Solid

and even though Resident Evil has been on the Wii, i'll still name it because i want RE6 on Project Cafe.

side note: i just had a funny thought. Nintendo Project Cafe....imagine if the final name was Nintendo PC. NPC for abbreviation to suit the numerous times Nintendo will implement the Super Guide. lol. anyhoo. i think Nintendo PC would be a nice name for it.

While I don't really care, I would say Bioshock since I am playing 2 right now and it's incredibletastic.

I want Nintendo to stop making consoles.

I also want them to sell all their top characters and franchises to other companies who are more "with it".

    Oh well.

A proper GTA, made to take advantage of the additional storage space and graphical capabilities, one that no longer has to squeeze onto a DVD.

Other than that, a proper Metal Gear game. Whatever Bungie is cooking up. ZOE. Final Fantasy. Star Wars Rogue Squadron. Batman. Dead Space.

Now since the jokes are out of the way, what franchise previously not seen on the Wii would you like to see on "Project Cafe?"

@frosty: It's funny because two of those were once Nintendo-only franchises. Talking about Metal Gear and Final Fantasy, of course. Rogue Squadron was suppose to be on the Wii, but Factor 5 closed down.

    I was being completely serious.

But if you're gonna be like that, Super Mario RPG. And I don't mean any of that Mario & Luigi or Paper Mario crap.

Metal Gear started on the MSX2 Console before it found its way to the NES. The sequel also was released on the MSX2 but not the NES. So it was never a Nintendo-only franchise. Though you are correct about Final Fantasy.

Half Life might be another I'd add to my list.

  12. Well, Metal Gear had a weird history in general in its first decade before Metal Gear Solid. The "original" Metal Gear was a stripped down iteration of the true version. Granted, still a brilliant game in its own right, but we didn't get the "true" version until the release of MGS3 Subsistence in 2006. And then we had Snake's Revenge, the "sequel" for the NES. Not a bad game in its own right, but it looks blocked next to the real Metal Gear 2, which also was unreleased until 2006 unless you knew someone with a good emulator for the PC.

And I also would like a real sequel to Mario RPG. Bring back Mallow and Geno. The Mario and Luigi games were fine, but the first two Paper Marios, I thought, stunk. Had none of the humor, charm, or wit of Mario RPG.

You want Mario RPG? Then I suggest we all go run to Square Enix and beg on our knees for it. I'd like to see it too, but I don't think it's ever going to happen. Core guys from Square Enix are now gone as well doing their own thing.

Level-5, Mistwalker or Monolithsoft could probably handle it well under Nintendo supervision or do-developing.

  15. I'd beg, but my knees are in bad shape so I don't think I'd be able to get up.

This is exactly what I said. I wish Nintendo went third party.

Nintendo profit on hardware from day 1 which is why they won't go 3rd party anytime soon. Besides if nintendo went 3rd party the industry would come to the stand still N is the only company willing to make game changing innovations MS and Sony just follow on

Level 5 I think would do a very good job with a Mario RPG, I would definitely buy it.

I'd say several old school WRPGs like NWN or BG should come to consoles... Dragon Age is nice and all, but it doesn't substitute the gameplay of the real D&D games.

Metal Gear is associated with Playstation for a reason, the most popular/groundbreaking iteration of the game was a PS exclusive. Final Fantasy has been around so long it has simply changed perceptions, but it will probably come to cafe easily.

I don't have a particular 3rd party game in mind, a lot of franchises I loved last gen sucked this one (DMC/RE/FF) so I guess just have parity of 3rd party software between all the consoles is good enough for me. You know, when SF5 comes out, it comes out on all 3 consoles at once, no nonsense spin-offs.

If I had to pick a game though, I would say Metal Gear, but I plan on getting Playstations for the foreseeable future, and Kojima seems to like working on one console at a time, so I have to take that back, The next big Kojima game should be on the platform he likes the most and offers him the most tools--yeah, that's sounds good...
