    Max Payne 3

+ 4 R* studios are working on Max Payne 3 - Vancouver, Toronto, London, New England
+ Edge: "Payne we see onscreen has a full head of hair, and isn't the booze-soaked hulk we'd been led to expect.
    + Environments are fully destructible
+ Hundreds of hours of motion-capture footage has been captured, which is blended with the Euphoria engine to create characters that interact accurately and realistically, with environments.
+ New cover system - allowing players to duck behind scenic objects.
+ James McCaffrey, the voice of Payne in the first two games, is returning to the character - this time in a full acting role.
+ We're going to get a glimpse of the intervening years between New York Max and the disheveled alcoholic he has become.
+ EDGE: "Instead of comic book frames, these dramatic plot pointers use the in-game engine and show an animated collage of action footage."

I'm always wary of "fully destructible environment" claims, ever since BLACK. I don't know what devs think it means, but to me, "fully destructible environment" means the ability to make pits and your own doors, ala the old Red Faction games. The ability to actually change and destroy the landscape freely, not just in scripted places.

If its got Rockstar presents in the title you dont have to tell us we already know

Me im sceptical as hell about this game. I hope im proved wrong.

  5. Lol. I'm not that excited actually...Yet. Probably because we haven't seen much. So far, so "ehhh".
I don't blindly fall into the R* trap. Not my fault all their games are superb

Not sure why you are sceptical though?

Blind as bat my friend just as i am with Kojima and Naughty Dog. Although they are perfect so maybe i am not biased and blind am i?

The scepticism porbably comes because (a) I wasnt as impressed with the first two games by Remedy as much as the rest of the world was and (b) the third person blockbuster is pretty much owned by Gears of War and especially Uncharted for me so its a tough job. Im sure Rockstar will hopefully add something special to make it different but until i see it like we finally have with LA Noire i remain sceptical because they have tougher competition in this genre.

Glad to see this game wasn't scrapped. I didn't play the Max Payne games back when they were new but I still feel this one has a lot of potential.

I'm glad to hear he doesn't look like Carl from ATHF anymore.

Here's hoping he still has that constipated sneer on his face from the old games.

  15. Rockstar at it again. Crafting a project purely out of their own interest and love, and the results are showing.

I lost count of how many times he brought up Uncharted in his preview. Anyways it sounds good but i need to see more.

  19. Just when you think the genre has seen it all. Wow. Leave it to Rockstar to give us new stuff in an old genre.
When he dived into the side of that bus and actually bumped against it, I grinned with joy.

Each bullet being a physical game object is very impressive and adds a lot, no to mention the body damage system that looks gruesomely awesome

    Another epic R* adventure incoming.
