Good to hear. Didn't want MS going "OH hey here is more space... its just going to cost you* trollface.jpg
If it changes anything in pricing, it probably won't reach the customers. I do think though that the discs might need a bit more care... triple layered and all
Kept you waiting
A discussion about Xbox by Sony fans. This is why I loved E-mpire in the first place! Anyways I signed up for the beta program hope I get in, I just really want to test out the new stuff in the dashboard.
More is better, but it's still not as good as the PS3, we get it.
Le Cabalry: Dwhittenempire, goku2057, Milly, Zac, Alias, Colin™, Spatula, mysterio, Nathan, C.J., Resident Darkness
I signed up for it, but haven't gotten any email yet.
I got accepted yeah check the actual site guys.
I got in as well and yeah I haven't got an email yet either I just went to the site.
I got it to and I finally put two and two together and I know what this dumbass update is about. They are likely sending us copies of Reach with all the content on it that I JUST GOT DONE FUCKING BUYING GODDAMNIT. Where is all the other stuff? Why is it just that? Oh well can't complain to much am getting to be in it afterall...
i got accepted. i got the dashboard update and on the website it says i'm in. but alledgedly everyone that got accepted got the dashboard update but as far as the actual disc update it'll come at a later time. its still undetermined who is going to be in the "Live Update" program and who will be in the "Disc Update" program.
i was thinking about that too. but it doesn't fit MS "profile" to just give things away. especially not for its premium games where people are still paying for content. if they were sending something like PGR4 out then i would suspect extra dl content. what i'm thinking they're going to do is rearrange the game data to fill that space(to make sure that its a used and explored section of the disc) and fill in the regular space with behind the scenes, the making of, etc type crap. i think this is just to see if the disc will "play" in the 360. to make sure it functions like it should.

you hit the nail on the head mitri... they have to make sure this new disc format works right. otherwise it could be a huge headache if any problems popped up after a mass release.

I strongly believe it is just going to be the DLC content on the disc. Putting the extra behind the scenes content on one disc would be to much work, whereas Halo Reach itself when you have the maps or not, the maps show up "already there". So it would be simple for them to do it. They are already giving you a $50 game for free whats a little free content?
i noticed it didnt play off mines too. i thought it mighta been just me. but also when it was put on there did you notice the size was 6.7GB same as the regular disc i believe. it took longer to load it on there though.
did you notice any differences? i'm not 100% sure but i did notice a texture and pop up improvement.
and would you believe we were both wrong. they put absolutly nothing else on it. lol.

I have been writing up a piece on it and there is no real difference. The xbox DVD video is less than half it's size but I actually noticed the hd install is a 100mb more.
