Torchlight [03/09/11]

I'm looking forward to this game. Who else plans on picking this up?

heard about this quite a lot, just never looked into it. From the trailer, I'm not a fan of those styles of gaming. But I'll at least give it a try

Yeah, if you don't like hack-and-slash RPGs or dungeon crawls, this might not be your game. A lot of people have been complaining about the lack of online co-op, but I'm looking forward to the single-player experience. It has been a while since I played a game catered to single-player.

Based on some other things I have read about the game, it sounds fairly interesting. Randomly-generated dungeons sound fun and I'm liking the concept of making the characters dabble into other skills outside of their specialties. Case in point, if I wanted to make a melee fighter with summoning skills, I could. I'm going to make a pistol wielding spellcaster, though.

Im waiting for torchlight II on pc for co op or you can play magicka.

not a bad game. But not my type. And I wouldn't pay $15 for a downloadable title of this degree. Thats Just me.

I beat the game this morning. I started up another character on Very Hard, Hardcore mode (where death is permanent). That character ended up dying at level 8. I think I may just resume my normal character and try getting him to max level and actual max fame.
