I got the STAR some days ago, won all standard coop adventure maps at crushing, won the new map Fort at hard at my second attempt(played the 1st time at normal), tomorrow I will try it at crushing. Anybody interested in getting the Star is very welcome, I generally play after 18.00 UTC.

They never did online until uncharted 2, so obviously they never did online trophy stuff and honestly I don't think there's anything wrong with adding trophies for the online portion of the game. I think they're fun to unlock especially online, but to each their own.

Well, with Uncharted 2, they had like 2 trophies for online, which were just there to make the players at least try it. Which is good. It gets problematic, when trophies make you play certain ways, which can (and probably will) destroy many "normal" online sessions.

Now, I am not saying there mustn't be ANY trophies for online games... but the developers need to be REALLY cautious.

Why should they be cautious? If you don't enjoy the online don't play it and the trophies don't adversely effect you. When I played the online my goal was to unlock the trophies but as you play especially if you enjoy the game you're playing you will naturally unlock them. I know there are players out there that play just for the trophies so they don't care about winning or losing.

I really do enjoy the Uncharted 3 online multiplayer but with the lack of trophies to entice me to play it I don't honestly see myself playing until they release trophies for the DLC. I say that because I'm a trophy hunter and I honestly enjoy the trophy unlock in online multiplayer games. It's like a mark of achievement for that online game and it's probably a big reason why I really enjoyed the Gears of War series.

Wow... bit of a dicotomy here... telling me "don't play it if you don't like it", yet complaining about the very same?

Just look at the end part of "Apples to Apples" Quick Look at Giantbomb... if THAT's what "online trophies" are, then... good riddance.

Well if you didn't like it you wouldn't play it right? Also I wasn't complaining I just pointed out that I did notice players that played exactly how you despise. I honestly don't know how you read my statement as a complaint rather than an agreement to what you were saying.. I just don't see why you're so opposed to trophies? I understand there are players that play selfishly just to unlock the trophies but those types of players are in the minority. You think it's any different on let's say a Call of Duty game where people are more concerned about getting kills rather than going for the objective or adversely effecting their kill to death ratio? Honestly there is no difference in those players than the ones that play strictly for trophies. Yeah they ruin the experience but it happens so often in all games we play you could just leave and join another game. It's a really simple remedy to just join another game if you feel someone is playing the proper way.

Thing is... you complain about "meh, there are no trophies"... I say "it's good there are no online trophies because of <reasons>". And then you tell me "well, you don't have to play it"... So... why even risk ruining the game with trophies at all?

You make the point of people ruin the experience because they play for the trophies but I made a valid point of how people play when they aren't there and you completely ignore my valid point. Refer to my Call of Duty point for reference to what I'm talking about. All I'm saying there is people that play just like those you despise on the uncharted 2 game on all the other games we play today that don't have trophies. There are going to be players that ruin the experience in all online games and if this is your argument of why they shouldn't have online DLC trophies it's pretty weak of an argument because like I said there are players like that on all other games except they aren't hunting trophies they are more concerned about kills and their kill to death ratio. If this is the case for you maybe you should ignore online gaming the majority of the time because no matter what game you play you will come across players that will ruin it in some fashion

For example my neighbor is one of those guys. He plays CoD and he plays a game mode called Domination and the point of the mode is to capture points to accumulate the most points. Well he doesn't go for any points instead he hides somewhere and camps a point regardless of whether he has the point captured or not. He doesn't care if they win or lose because for some reason he thinks because he goes 46-2 he helped his team win and I even told him he doesn't help because he's not trying to capture the points therefore he's not helping his team win.

I'm pretty sure the drydock is featured in the very first reveal teaser trailer, albeit somewhat flooded.

Some of those concepts look really great. It's a shame that it feels like they were short on time to make Uncharted 3.

Yep; though U3 SP was an amazing experience for me, I feel they cut something and some parts could be developed more.

The MP is amazing, and I'm expecting ND to fix a big bug in the Monastery adventure map, where sometime Drake mysteriously hovers at a meter of height, with legs crossed, without his head !!! The game obviously gets stuck and you have to suicide losing 3 lifes. Come on ND, fix this, at least. It happens too often in that map.

    I can't wait for U4.

I would say Uncharted 4 will not probably happen until next gen's first year. I have no idea whether they'll want to push the PS3 beyond The Last of Us though, so prove me wrong, Sony and ND.

I'm confident U4 will be released for PS4, and I would go mad if it was a PS4 Launch Game(Americas); ND have time, probably 3 years after U3, if 'PS4' will be released in Fall 2014, as I'm expecting.

I don't see U4 on PS3; the game needs a Next Gen Machine to WOW and blow us away. PS3 is reaching its limit.

Particulars for Uncharted 3 patch 1.11

By the end of this month Uncharted 3 fans can enjoy patch 1.11 and the improvements this update brings, which include a return of The Lab for some fun and unique multiplayer modes. This section of Uncharted 3 multiplayer allows for some interesting experiments that some fans will remember from U2, but start this month on U3 with a map for the T-bolt and Pistole only.

After the Uncharted 3 1.11 update you’ll also notice the Elimination mode, Message of the Day for important updates including future patches, and an advanced settings menu that will allow you to change a number of settings to customize U3 to your liking. Settings you can change in this new menu include toggling Boosters, Sprinting, Health Multiplier, Respawn Time, Grenade Throw, and a few more options.
