Game-Breaking Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood Glitch Reported
I cant remember the last time a game was released from the the West without the need for game breaking or performance improving patches! As an addendum to our list of Assassin’s Creed:Brotherhood walkthroughs and guides, I wanted to point out a game-breaking glitch that’s being reported on Ubisoft’s forums. After using the tunnel system for the first time, some players are entering an endless de-synchronization (i.e. death) loop at the other end of the tunnel. Because the game autosaves after using the tunnel, these players are becoming trapped, and the only way out is to start a new game. Players are reporting the problem on Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
Multiple players say the bug happens at around the six or seven hour mark, during Sequence 2, Memory 4. It’s possible that the bug occurs when you travel to an area you’re not supposed to, such as an old area or district. A Ubisoft support moderator says he has no workaround suggestions and has reported the glitch to the developers. “The quickest solution is most likely to just start a different profile from the main menu,” the mod says. “However If I receive any additional information I will post details here
Fortunately i was not planning on playing this till around X-mas but damn i really feel sorry for some of my friends who are casual gamers and wont have access to these patches. It really is getting ridiculous now. I dont know the figure for PSN subscribers so ill use the Xbox as an example but according to MS there are 25 million Free and Gold accounts so then what about the other 20 million? plus all the PS3 users without PSN? How do they fix a broken game???
There are some games that don't need patching... God of War 3 had a patch, but I actually don't know what it does^^ (same goes for Uncharted 1, 2 got many patches for Online, so I can't include that).
Anyways... is there any word on a delay of the PC version? Or was it confirmed that it'll come out now too?
Kept you waiting
As for the PC version its listed for March in my country so sorry Segitz
At least i got good news for once. I received the special edition ( Not codex edition ) for the price of the regular copy They sent me the wrong version. It means i dont have to shell out another $10 for the 2 solo mission in the Aqueducts and the Trajan Market
What? No way...
How many gamers actually have their own internet connection (not with their parents)? How many of those actually play online with narrowband?
Kept you waiting
For those that are too impatient to wait for the patch heres what you do to avoid the game breaking bug in Assassins Creed Brotherhood PS3/360:
Also the first batch of DLC will be free and will be released on the 14th of December:Hi Guys.
While the current tunnel desynchronization issue is to be fixed in the next patch, there is also a need to warn new players.
Please do not use the Tunnel System until they are explained to you by Machiavelli as part of the single player story line.
So while those tunnels may be tempting, please avoid until that point in the storyline.
Ubisoft has announced the Animus Project Update 1.0, which is a fancy pants way of saying DLC Pack 1 for Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood.
Featuring a brand-new game mode and a fresh map for Brotherhood's multiplayer, the free update will be available for Xbox 360 and PS3 on December 14.
The new Advanced Alliance mode will make the original Alliance Mode with target identification and engagement more difficult, providing a more challenging experience for players.
With three teams of two players each, Advanced Alliance rewards teams that use stealth techniques to hunt their targets, Ubisoft says.
Mont Saint-Michel is a new map that located on the rocky tidal French island of Normandy. It features narrow streets, a high-perched bell tower and multi-levelled architecture.
Check out the screens below for a better look at the update, and cast your eyes over CVG's Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood review for more on the game.
I know this gen has been hard on devs financially and technically but c'mon now...
It seems recently in the last few months, when they had many years to get used to it now we are having some "key" problems (saves crash, game freezes, story progression broken etc etc) and coming from big devs as well.
Next time you start the game, assuming you are connected to the internet, you will be promoted to update your game.
The following information is about what the title update contains.
ACB PATCH v1.02 NOTES:

New Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood DLC
More Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood downloadable content is on the way – but this time you'll have to pay for it.
The Da Vinci Disappearance will launch at the beginning of March on the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. On Xbox Live, it'll cost 800 Microsoft Points. Ubisoft failed to mention a PSN price - the publisher told us this evening it hasn't decided on it yet.
The DLC includes single-player and multiplayer content. From the official blurb: "After the fall of the Borgias in Rome, Leonardo Da Vinci is kidnapped by the Hermeticists, an underground cult dedicated to transforming mankind.
"Ezio will embark on a relentless quest to recover stolen paintings in order to find Leo before it is too late, discovering two new locations and two new gameplay features along the way."
On the multiplayer side, the DLC adds one new map, four new characters and two new game modes. Map Alhambra is described as a "lush environment set in Spain's Albaicin of Granada". It features multileveled indoor and outdoor areas "perfect for predators to lurk in the dense crowd for unsuspecting targets".
The four new characters are Dama Rossa, the Knight, the Marquis and the Pariah.
In Escort mode, two teams of four players compete. Each team must protect their VIP target or assassinate the other team's VIP. In Assassinate mode, six to eight players go against each other in one 10 minute deathmatch style round.
You can also preorder the PC version now on Steam...

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood hits PSN August 3rd for a great price!
It's cheaper than most new copies on online retailers AND is cheaper than Steam!
I'll probably get it, gotta wait a month though.
Not to mention:
Ubisoft pwning digital distribution on PSN.The DLC will be available to Plus members at no extra cost after they have bought the full game. EDIT: THIS IS FOR AC2, NOT BROTHERHOOD

Cheaper than retail? No... 30€ is the same as the Platinum price... and that's MSRP, too. Not even Amazon asks these usually.
Cheaper than Steam? Maybe... but for how long? I mean, the PC version came a LOT later than the console version, hence it still commands a higher price.
If PSN EVER tries to emulated Steam sales (75% to 90% price reductions), THEN I might buy on PSN again. After the ~50 games I bought in the past half year on Steam for less than the money I would have paid for one single full priced retail game, too.
Kept you waiting
Well for UK it is. New copy prices, which I personally always prefer [new as opposed to used], as to not rip off the developer/publisher:
I agree Steam kicks PSN's ass, that's why in this rare instance it was exciting to see PSN kicking ass (I'm talking price only).

And someone on the blog linked to a Platinum copy of the game (new)...£12.99. lol. So ignore my last post >_<
Although I personally hate Platinum cases (recently paid a bit extra for Batman:AA to get the original case version for example).
Yeah that's a game I always wanted to check out, might give it a go at some stage this summer.
