Dante used to look cool... what the hell? i blame the success of Twilight
The problem is he completely misunderstands what makes a great game, instead of concentrating on gameplay, he blows his money on andy serkis/alex garland and the whole weta mo-cap bullshit, I'm not saying you shouldn't have good cinematics, but it will only take your game so far and never far enough, fundamentally the gameplay has to be compelling and if enslaved is any indication, they don't have a fucking clue what good gameplay feels like when they pick up a controller.
LOL I hope you're being sarcastic.
Meh, That is what they said with Dark Void and Bionic Commando...
Capcom is really losing the main reason that they were my favourite developer since I started gaming... They always seemed to have passion for the games that were made. Nowadays, aside from what they are doing on the fighting game front, I find it harder and harder to support their decisions. Inafune, while being a great game developer, does not need to be at the head of Capcom's production. I put a lot of the blame on him with this new direction they seem to be taking the games.
Inafune has never been much of a developer after his megaman days, none of his recent work has ever been polished, after Onimusha 3 he basically stopped trying and he's been milking franchises ever since, he's essentially creatively bankrupt.
After he took over as the head of R&D, Capcom has been bleeding talent.

1. Devil May Cry Rebooted
During an event at the Tokyo Game Show, Capcom announced a new Devil May Cry title is in development. The game was listed as just "DMC" on the presentation screen and is considered a reboot for the series. DMC is being developed by Capcom USA in conjunction with Ninja Theory, creators of Enslaved and Heavenly Sword.
Best Trailer: DMC
It's no surprise that Capcom loves to revisit its old franchises. With Bionic Commando remakes and classic Mega Man titles in the works, it makes sense that the company would continue to expand on the most famous names in its lineup. The Devil May Cry series needed an overhaul after the underwhelming fourth entry in the series. Thanks to developer Ninja Theory, that's exactly what we're getting with DMC, a more realistic, gritty take on the demon-slaying action. With a young, psychologically unbalanced Dante and enough style to make the snazziest model blush, DMC's debut trailer stole the show.
Like that wasnt posted just for hits after the negative reaction by DMC fans on the net
Very underwhelming indeed thats why you gave it 8.7/10, called it great and stamped the editors choice seal on the review right IGN?
Gaming journalism at its best! Now someone go post Eurogamers trash talk about the original LBP in their hands on beta for LBP2. The game they voted GOTY 2 years ago![]()
LOL IGN.
Capcom USA + Ninja Theory? No Japanese influence? The best tech Capcom has comes from their Japanese studios. Let's just forget about a clean-looking game. Not that it isn't apparent already that it sports the ugly, dirty looking Ninja Theory signature graphics.

Ninja Theory's art direction is SHIT. Just plain ugly. Couple that with Unreal engine and... yuck. The cutscenes are something else though.
I was hoping for some Japanese influence, but if most of the development will be handled in the US by US developers... no, thanks.

They can do cut-scenes and that's fine. But to me it seems that they focus so much on those that they make the design of the actual game secondary. They seem like a developer that has a bit of an ego/arrogance about them and clearly seem to think that they are better at what they do than they actually are.
