Unless the content was cut out for licensing issues (which could be resolved by now), DVD size (as we are now on BDROM) or so, it won't happen... I seriously doubt that ANY artwork will be touched for this.
Still... I am happy this happens. SotC is too expensive for a used game for me, thus I never actually bought it... rented it once to try (was nice, played it half through on a weekend) though.

for atmosphere i think ICO is better to be honest
What about Move support? I think that could be pretty awesome in SoTC.
But if you control the character with the sub controller or dualshock 3, you could use that to climb. Then just use the motion for like sword, bow, etc kind of like zelda.
The colossi that didn't make it to the final game weren't a matter of licensing issues or room restraints. They're properly documented. The spider, the albatross-like one, the worm, the devil and others didn't quite work the way they expected, they felt overpowered or they were too similar to other colossi.
It's a shame though, because at least a couple of them, particularly the spider, did seem like great additions and they looked incredible in the beta screenshots. It would be some sort of miracle that they included those now, but I don't see why they wouldn't use those ideas for The Last Guardian instead.
Oh damn. What if TLG does feature bosses like that?![]()

Do you like this story?
Sony and Team Ico officially announced Ico and Shadow of the Colossus for the PS3 last night, but new information has just come from the Sony conference that Shadow of the Colossus won't just be rendered in HD on the PS3, but the game will also be 3D. Shadow of the Colossus was one of the most amazing looking PS2 games back in 2005, but jumping to the PS3 with HD visuals and 3D visual effects, it'll be an entirely new experience for gamers to experience.

Sonys blog says "full HD and 3D"... now depending on how you interpret this, this could actually mean it runs in 1080P (not in 3D though). Because, if they run at 1080P@30fps, running 3D at 720P@30fps is just a toggle of a switch, just like Evolution said in Motorstorm 3.
Either way... nice!

“Had the religion of Christianity been preserved according to the ordinances of the Founder, the state and commonwealth of Christendom would have been far more united and happy than they are. Nor can there be a greater proof of its decadence than the fact that the nearer people are to the Church, the head of their religion, the less religious are they.”

Now THAT makes me want 3D TV!
From Koktaku:
So, no new content but they're not just upgrading the resolution, framerate and filters. So awesome"11:38 McWhertor: I just asked Ueda about the Colossi that were cut from the PS2 release of the game to see if they had plans to include anything extra in the games.
11:39McWhertor: Ueda says that immediately after finishing Shadow of the Colossus he felt bad that some things were cut, but now he feels it's a complete game. They are "brushing up" some of the art assets."![]()

and adding 120fps 3D, which for a game with the scale of SOTC would be awesome, actually being able to see the depth and realize exactly HOW FAR you really are up in the air while scaling that beast. So, no new content but they're not just upgrading the resolution, framerate and filters. So awesome

It'll remain 30 fps, both on 2D and 3D modes.

Find it interesting that they had to redo stuff for 3D to work... but it makes sense, if you look carefully at Shadow... this game often uses "matte paintings" for backdrops when traversing the world. This wouldn't work in 3D at all, as you just see a wall then^^

good point. I never thought of that.
Meh, they could have taken a bit more time and done that. I'm sure it's not that taxing on the PS3 for it not to be able to handle it.It'll remain 30 fps, both on 2D and 3D modes.
