Infernal Engine Solves Multiplatform Porting Issue

The infernal Engine was used to power the Ghostbuster video games, and is a cross-platform engine. From the picture above one would think the Wii would get quality multiplats. Usually Wii versions of multiplatform games either get the "water-down treatment" or it is handed off to some shitty, second-rate developer who has had almost zero experience with a home console if any consoles at all.

A good example of this is the game Transformers: War for Cybertron. The Wii version was nothing like the HD counterparts, it hid behind the "built from the ground up" bullshit slogan. There is nothing wrong with building a game from the ground up, but they usually end up being rail shooters or buggy unfinished, unplayable, pieces of horse crap (see the Wii version of Wolverine).

Obviously the Infernal engine can't be used for every Wii multiplatform game but it does seem to be a good solution to many 3rd party developers problems. The Infernal Engine could the Wii's version of Epic's Unreal Engine.

Red Fly was recently announced as the developer of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed 2 for the Wii. They have used the Infernal Engine on the Wii before with Ghostbusters: The Video Game, let's hope we get similar results!

    Infernal Engine on The Wii

Looks damn good to me. And as we all know, the Wii actually looks a lot better when you see it with your own eyes. High Quality screens don't do the Wii justice, since it's not a high def console.

Lol... did you see how badly Ghostbusters performed on PC and on PS3? I surely cannot see any "solved problems" with that engine
    Kept you waiting

I copy and pasted this article. These aren't my words. These are the words of another guy.
Everything seems to perform badly on the PS3. Have you seen Mafia II or the No More Heroes port? Blurriness/glitchies galore. On subject, Ghostbusters for the Wii performed quite well. It may have had a cartoon looking style but it still had the dynamic physics and everything else. For Star Wars, they seem to be keeping the same thing found on the other consoles it judging from the screens I have seen of the game it's looking great. Let's hope we can get some video to see how the engine performs.

Engine seems to be working out just fine on the Wii.

Not everything runs badly on PS3... just bad ports. And no, Infernal Engine isn't immune to bad porting (which is what I was trying to say)... give any tool to a competent person, and he builds you something awesome... give an AWESOME tool to an incompetent fool, or time constraint him, and he makes something bad...
