    Fighters Uncaged for Kinect

It seems as though the Kinect lineup continues to grow. Ubisoft with its strong supporting for the Kinect has announced another title for the hardware. Fighters Uncaged exclusively for the Xbox 360. Check out the full release below and some screenshots of the title in action

SAN FRANCISCO, CA -Today, Ubisoft announced Fighters Uncaged, a new fighting game that will be available worldwide in November 2010 exclusively for Kinect? on Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft. Developed by AMA Studios, Fighters Uncaged will deliver players the excitement of real fighting competitions, in addition to teaching players mixed martial arts techniques. ?

Fighters Uncaged is the first motion fighting game for Microsoft Kinect?, dedicated to a core audience,? said Adam Novickas, U.S. director of marketing at Ubisoft. ?Fighters Uncaged requires players to get out of their seat to engage in a controller-free full-body combat game and experience the authentic fighting style of Thai boxing.?

Leveraging the Microsoft Kinect? technology, Fighters Uncaged delivers players an immersive total-body combat experience. Players will be able to create 70 different strikes inspired by martial arts and compete in 21 different fighting environments such as rooftops, dark alleys, gritty city docks and abandoned church. Included are diverse opponents with unique fighting styles, devastating combos with voice-activated super strikes, opportunities to upgrade your character by unlocking new skills and a jump-in multiplayer feature to take your enemies down with your friends.

TGH: The title looks a lot like what Sony is making with the Playstation Move, Fight Night Lights Out. Hopefully this will be able to use the potential of the Kinect.

The fighter genre has definitely been dying in my eyes and this game and The fight is a small but good step forward to take. It would be great to see a street Fighter game letting you pull of all the moves the originals did. It would be a hell of a work out also.

This looks just bad... and I am not saying Motion Fighter for Move looks better... but... come on... Ubisoft, you can do MUCH better!

I agree but dont you think both this and The Fight are both good basic starting points to evolve the genre? Especially when you see things like the fireball Move tech demo.

Of course... but making bad games first will NOT make other developers delve into this genre, if these games flop like crazy...
