    Resident Evil Revelation

so... I saw these new screens and it leaves me wondering....are these actual in-game-engine shots....becuase if so that's pretty impressive looking.... or do you think they are pre-rendered movie files.

EDIT: yes they are also from the dlc content from Resident Evil 5....but these ARE the 3DS screens....but I still don't know if its a modified version in real time or not?????

Pfft - whatever capcom. I don't trust these dudes when it comes to handheld games with their big franchises. Where's Resident Evil for PSP that was announced last year? Same boat as Devil may Cry PSP? Canceled V_V

It cant be. Those screens look better than the HD console versions. Also those pics come from the first mansion DLC pack for Resi 5.

Who knows. First MGS 3D and now this. Maybe the 3DS is freakin' powerful.

I think overall it's a bit more powerful than the ps2, if that. Anyone comparing it to the HD consoles is expecting way too much. I would have bought one for the MGS game..but it's just a port of Snake Eater. And, since I can't see the 3d effects i would just get a portable version of Snake Eater, which would be utterly pointless.

actually I thought you were just voting for the pre-rendered option.....but it sounds like you're saying you don't think these are for the 3DS....

My guess would be on pre-rendered movies. There is no way that is done in-engine.

First shot looks like potential in-game. The one with Chris looks prerendered.

Because without the "1337" and "Cowboys!", we'd be the Wyld Stallynz.

I heard rumors that it may be on par with the Gamecube. Would be funny if it ended up being more powerful then the Wii haha.

if you take what the Wii can do (RE: DC) and shrink it down to handheld screen it can look pretty good.

of course there's more to it than that but i wouldn't deny the possibility.

I thought it might be in-game engine. I watched the trailer like 3 times, and the background doesn't really look as good as the HD versions.

That said, the MGS 3D demo was all in game and had the same "shiney" effect that you can see on Chris's arms in the RE trailer. I think it could be, but we really don't know yet.

Trailer was jaw dropping either way. Don' forget the game is in the dark, and its easier to make games look better in dark settings.

Everything else on show floor looked Gamecube quality, ranging from PSP quality all the way to Wii.

Desired: Zelda Wii, Batman Arkham, 3DS
    Present: Mass Effect 2
    Future: None.

GoG had it right on the nails. With the smaller screen, it would take less to produce awesome "HD" like quality graphics. But it might be pre-rendered, but we shall see.

Personally, I believe it might actually be in game.

I am still willing to bet that's pre-rendered.

It doesnt seem to matter as much right now since we cant play them ourselves any time soon. With out its 3D effect it just doesnt have the right effect.I wonder how long before they have demos running in stores.

Yeah i just thought they were the wrong screens because that scene is from Resi 5 but Digital Foundry say 3DS is about as powerful as a PS2 so they could definitely port it but it will look like Resi 4 which is not bad at all. I hope its not a dumbed down port. Id rather have something new.

Played it today. Every single frame is real time in game graphics.

Damn thing is a graphic beast.
