it's the first nintendo device since the NES that has convinced me to buy it. i still don't understand why, if we have like 32GB memory sticks that could easily fit in a DS, they put a 2gb cap on it... seems like a waste.

    Who said it's a cap?

Do you know any Nintendo cart based console that stuck with the launch cart size? Also keep price in mind. A 32 GB flash chip is still too expensive.

Eh...pass for me then I suppose if that ends up being the case. Being blind in one eye doesn't mix well with 3D tech.

I'm not saying to expect it from every single game just saying it has that kind of potential. The majority will still be standard games with an added element of visual depth that can be adjusted with the 3D slider.

Suppose I will make my decision when the price point comes out. In the meantime I will hope stem cell research that regrew an eye in testing in U.K becomes affordable and mainstream!

    Yeah, that kinda sucks.

I have a friend that was somewhat looking forward to Kinect but being wheelchair bound, he can't stand up.

My first reaction was to laugh because I thought you were taking a shot at Kinect......Then I thought maybe this story is true so felt bad.

Go ahead and laugh, he did.

Also, I've come to learn that most handicap people prefer that you treat them just as anyone else and get pissed at the kid gloves, pity treatment most people give them.

  10. That's very true and is something I try not to do but I still can't help but feel bad when someone wants to do something but can't strictly because of their disability (or illness or etc).
I never look at them like "awww" or anything though.

Anyway, you know who doesn't get disabled no matter what he goes through?

=( That sucks. On the plus side unless this stuff takes over completely it won't impact either of us too much. Most games will use Kinect in a minimalist way, barring kinect only versions, and at least 3D is an OPTION for the time being. I can still enjoy the games for PS3 and 3DS without being able to see 3D stuff. Sooo unless this stuff becomes a requirement and not just an "icing" it won't make too much of a different for us. At least I hope.

Just bumping this because MGS Rising and Peace Walker are at the top of the New Posts page. Now Metal Gear gets the triple play.

“A sample of the 3DS game we showed at E3 was actually an experiment which combined MGS with a handheld that offers 3D. I’ve only had two months to create it. And that’s one reason why we have called it “The Naked Sample.” Having said that, I can assure you that the 3DS will definitely have its own version of MGS, making the most of “naked eye” 3D technology. But for now, I can not tell you what the final title will be.” - Hideo Kojima
looks like people can't use "it's just Snake Eater" as an excuse.

That was debunked during E3 itself but most people missed it. Good to see reconfirmation of it straight from Kojima himself, though.
