    Yap. I heard.

But the current mindset that he is in...I don't think we're going to be seeing any more violent games from him.

I wouldnt be too sure about that he mentioned a couple of hints about making a war game.

I've got the original Metroid, Metroid II: Return of Samus, Super Metroid, Metroid Fusion, Metroid Prime, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, as well as Metroid: Zero Mission (only ones I don't have are Hunters and Pinball), and loved all of these, so of course I must own Other M. I really can't wait to get my hands on this.

Nintendo has released an update to their release schedule and Metroid: Other M has been delayed to Aug 31.

August is the historical release month for Metroid titles, anyway.

And it's probably for the better to spread this and S&P2 out a bit more to give some breathing room. That was simply too much stuff in such a short window.

disappointing to have to wait but not altogether surprising. like you say to much stuff in a short window but i think it's also because Nintendo was forced into showing the game early.

for this kind of title, announcing it shortly before release hasn't really been working for them. so they had to show it off earlier than usual for this generation which opened up the chance for delays.

if they had followed their trend this gen, we wouldn't have seen MOM until E3 and had a release shortly after. might not have been enough hype built and could have been overshadowed by other things like Zelda reveal and vitality sensor.

  8. nice thread and very interesting, thank you both!

I'll wait as long as it takes to make it the right way. This is one of my highly anticipated titles of the year and for some reason I hope Zelda comes out in the Fall of this year...

I'm 98% positive that Zelda will hit in November of this year. I'd even target the 23rd as the date.

I think you might mean Nov. 21 as Nintendo likes to release their big titles on Sundays instead of the usual Tuesday.

I thought so too but I've noticed even some of their big titles are going out on Tuesday now as well.

Are you talking about Skyward Sword? What makes you think that, didn't Miyamoto already confirm Q1 2011?

That 2% made a big showing at E3. Notice when I made that statement. No one knew they had Kirby and Donkey Kong coming instead.
