yeah... it's not like they didn't cover it with a good warranty. PS2 had a 90 day warranty, so did ps1 (and xbox, and gamecube, and every other console ever).

this gen, with the heat generating powerhouse consoles, they knew they'd better knock it up to a year.

well, its a legal requirement for a years warranty in the uk. And this doesn't mean you have to take them to court, only if they're non responsive or not complying, and even before that, you can go to your credit card supplier

been waiting 3 months now since i left in my ylod 60gig, game told me they was in talk with sony on how to get machines. Any advice, bought a slim just because of the unatural long wait.
