Guys, please no direct linking to piracy. It can get us in trouble.

☑ First they ignore you (Pre-2007)
☑ Then they laugh at you (2007-2008)
☑ Then they fight you (2008-2010)
☑ Then they copy you (2011-2012)
☐ Then you win...

3. Wow, holy crap.

I have an Nvidia card, but I've not wanted to upgrade because it took me so long just to get aspect ratios proper with 195.xx.

That's insane that it breaks 'all' Blizzard games... really? That's just ridiculous.

Thanks for the heads up.

SC2 works great on Nvidia 195.xx for what it's worth lol.

Also, the beta has been patched a second time. It's now on version .4xxxxxx.

All update content can be seen here: http://forums.battle.net/thread.html...49316&sid=5000

It's tied directly to my battle.net account. It's not a code, you just login to your battle.net account and it appears as a game there.

You would need my account and Blizzard Authenticator to login to the game.

Sorry, I'll update this with how it looks and feels once I have a chance to really play it. Was out most of last night so I just downloaded and installed it.

8. Darn... ya I know the login for the new bnet already...

You have an authenticator from WoW or something?

Anyone can play offline already, just want to play online... lol.

Yep, I have an authenticator attached to my account from WoW. When they merged WoW to battle.net the authenticator is now used for anything Blizz.

10. If anyone is into watching Replays with commentaries of this game (like I am), you will LOVE this one, definitely the best Replay I saw by far, great stuff and great commentator as well (he is neither of the players).

Part 3
Part 4
Final Part

11. ^You should watch the official Blizzard commentary ones on the SC2 official site lol.

They go really in-depth into the units abilities and strategies employed.

You should just download the beta man... and play it lol.

StarCraft II: Beta Test – Invite a Friend
Posted 18th Mar 2010 12:02 PM by Freelancer
http://starcraft.incgamers.com/blog/...vite-a-friend/

It seems the speculation surrouding wave 4 wasn't totally wrong, but it got send out in a way we didn't expect. A number of people already participating in the beta have received an additional beta key which allows them to invite a friend:

Blizzard Quote:
Congratulations! This is an additional invitation to the beta test for Blizzard Entertainment’s StarCraft® II: Wings of Liberty™ for you to share with a friend! You are receiving this email because you are currently participating in the StarCraft II beta test, and we want to encourage you to test out some of the social features of the revamped Battle.net® online-gaming service by inviting one of your friends to play with you. This email contains your additional beta key for you to send to a friend, along with instructions to help your friend get started.

This key can only be used once to upgrade a Battle.net account to participate in the beta test, and while we encourage you to share this key with someone you know, it must not be traded or sold.

Once your friend has joined the beta test, be sure to add him or her as a Real ID friend by opening your friends list in the bottom-right corner of the Battle.net interface and selecting Add Friend. Enter your friend's Battle.net email address in the Real ID Friend field that pops up, and then send your request. Once your friend accepts the request, you’ll be able to communicate more easily, quickly join parties together for some team-based 2v2 games, and more.

So what are you waiting for? Send this beta test invitation below to your lucky friend and start playing some exciting team games!
As for those that do not have friends currently in beta: don't worry, because according to Kapeselus opt-in invites will continue to go out.

Blizzard Quote: (Source)
Kapeselus: But on a serious note - yes, we will keep inviting people, who opted-in, don't worry smile
So does this mean we should call this wave 3.5? I will leave that up to you! smile
Send me an invite

It looks like they are opening up more spots. I got this in the mail today.

14. I'd ask, but it'd be wasted on me right now lol.

Unless the beta is going beyond April, that'd be the only way I'd be able to play I guess.

I could pro 2v2 with you a bit though lol

This needs to be shared. I had not received any invitation and didn't really worry about it, never thought I would. However, I made an account on the new Battle.net, where they keep track of all of your Blizzard games, much like Steam, while I was on I filled out something about the SCII beta, and then within the week, I happened to sign in and BOOM! SCII beta, ready for download.

Just thought people would like to know, the way I see it, can't hurt to sign up there.

DAMNIT!

I had a hook up at blizzard, but it didn't pan out for me. I've been fiending some SC2. I started learning SC1 about a month ago and I'm sorta sad that I didn't play it back in the day.

I'm getting hurt, I haven't play StarCraft in sooooo long. I just hope I don't encounter any Koreans, I'll probably be killed by a Drone/Probe/SCV rush!

18. Ya, Starcraft gets no respect on this forum lol, not enough RTS & PC gamers here.

I made a group for SC/SC2: http://e-mpire.com/group.php?groupid=6

Feel free to join. I'll invite if I can and also figure out how to do that.

If you guys ever want to play SC1, just chat up in there. Anyone can play multiplayer on ICCUP (free multiplayer server for SC and WC3 and stuff).

Starcraft II should be out soon, no worries.

I invited everyone I could think of potentially interested in RTS or PC gaming or more, everyone in this thread I invited also.

Yeah, there isn't much of a PC following here, which is unfortunate because a lot of great games are missed out on. I mean for me, aside for Zelda (my body physically doesn't require sustinance while playing Zelda, it feeds on the energy provided by the game), Diablo III is the game I want more than anything else, so one can imagine my disappointment when I saw that projector screen that said, "Future" or whatever, for DIII.

And I'm seriously getting pwned in SCII.

20. Haha, nice. PSXBatou is also in the beta, if he hasn't already contacted you himself.
