Good PS3 sales = proving to the industrty you can build a cutting edge machine and still hold mass appel.

in other words im happy to see PS3 selling well because if it failed this might have served a example to the whole industry not to "go big".

this thread is a celibration of the PS3s conceptual success not a stockholders victory. am i making sence?

Meh. I had a PS3 at launch and a 360 six months after that.

The only good angle I'm looking at is that people are spending money in America on things they don't need; that helps this shit economy.

good ps3 sales will lead to more money to invest in game budgets, studio buyouts, new technology for the future, more third party developers paying attention to the system, and more people to play online with. so yes, it is by all means a cause for celebration. no need to get all butthurt about it. if you don't like sales threads, don't click on them.
