    I need a favour...

    ok... to anyone that has Half-Life...
    I was messing around with some stuff in the registry, and i found where the cd-key is kept...
    Now, there's a binary code for the key, and i'm wondering if one of the values tells the game its a real key... i recently downloaded the game, and haven't been able to find a cdkey for it...
    So what i need is the binary code for your game...
    i promise i won't use the code, as it may stop your game from working, and that would make me a HUGE ass...
    Just PM the code to me, and i'll check it against mine, see if there are any differences.

    Directions to the binary code:

    Start
    Run
    type "regedit"
    expand "HKEY_CURRENT_USER"
    expand "Software"
    expand "Valve"
    expand "Half-Life"
    open "Settings"
    right-click on "Key"
    click "Modify Binary Data"
    copy ALL of the numbers into the PM box, as they are... even the ones at the left that don't highlight.
    click "X" in the top corner to exit RegEdit

    Thanks to anyone that helps out...
    Oh, and if anyone knows of a place to find a working online cdkey for this thing, that would help too...
    And to all you fags who'll blast me for not buying the game.... FUCK YOU... i'm buying Half-Life 2, so you can suck my ass...

    I can't help ya. All I have is Counter-Strike. Which you should go buy CS.

    From expirence, finding Half-Life CD Keys are very tough. Valve did a good job.

    Just wait untill Counter-Strike: Condition Zero comes out in November. It will be better than buying CS now.

    sry cant help. I need my key because I play so much and my key is already shared by other ppl.

    Yeah wait for CZ. Im still deciding whether I should get this game because I already have the multiplayer component.

    i highly doubt CS stand-alone cost $30...try $15...
    seriously...HF and all its expansions can go on sale for like $25 or so...how can CS be $30? thats bs

    I would highly recomend about buyin retail counterstrike (not refering to condition zero, I highly recomend buying that). I installed that on my computer at one point (not purchased, came with my video card). It screwed up all the names of the guns. I mean come on what is a cv-47, a bulpup or a nighthawk. Go with the mod version, its cheaper and the gun names are acurate.
