    Advance Campaign

Has anyone else tried or beaten this mode in Advance Wars? I've started it and have beaten the first 3-4 levels, and I want to know if anyone else has.

  2. I've started it but its hard. I don't know how far I've gotten in Advanced Campaign. I'm too hooked on MMBN2.

I actually haven't played either of those games. I hate the levels where you can't build anything the most, it requires a lot of thinking ahead. I did well in the first mission, I destroyed everything without losing one unit!

  4. Wow, thats good for advanced campaign. Yes, it does piss you off when you can't build enough of stuff, and your enemy has this huge ass army.

Well, it also took a long time for me to beat it, as I had to lure the enemy to me, it would nearly kill my unit, and then I would bait it to my artillery.

use your acps for bait if you don't have any use for them, works beter than fishing.

"... When the thousand years are expired, Satan shall be loosed out of his prison, and shall go out to deceive the nations which are in the four quarters of the earth, Gog, and Magog, to gather them together to battle: the number of whom is as the sand of the sea. And they went up on the breadth of the earth, and compassed the camp of the saints about, and the beloved city: and fire came down from God out of heaven, and devoured them. And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever."

I know, I love the way enemies go after the cheap ACP's even if it means sacrificing a tank of some sort just to damage it. You can also generally lure out the enemy with anything, so if that is the only thing you want to do, maybe just use some infantry.

yeah, but Infantry are hard to move around to where you want them at a fast rate, unless you have a factory near by.

Also, I found this out today. Your opposing CO can see the entire map at all times in Fog of War, even though you can't. they can't see into forests or reefs though, so those are basicaly the only places to go for shelter, and even then, very often is the risk of running into something that is allready in that area.

Also, is it just me, or are War Room maps harder than Campaign ones?

  9. I haven't played Advance Wars for quite some time now; I think I better start up again.

Just be glad you don't have to play predeployed missions. I will say that the later missions in the War Room are harder, though I haven't played them, I can tell.

hm, beat the first WR battle. I think it is harder cause it is like the VS mode, only on smaller maps, and noone starts out with anything but a bunch of basses and only like 5000 Gs.

well, I am gonna try them some more, they just require a lot of strategy.

  12. It gets some getting used to, as in the later ones the enemy starts out with a massive advantage. I have done quite a few of them, but not well. It is more fun to do it when you have most or all the characters, as you can pick the best person for the mission. The only thing is, you can't use Sturm, which is sort of a bummer.

heh, sturm would be cheap for that mode.

  14. Ummm... I liked Shining Force. Will I like this game? It sounds fun.

  15. I don't know? What is Shining Force? Isn't it an RPG or something? Advance Wars is a strategy game, but it is sort of hard to really explain it, but it is pretty popular.

  16. Shining force is an RPG in which turn-based battles are held, much like Fire Emblem.

    I have.

I wait a GC version with all my heart.:shy:

  18. huh?

    Theres a GC version?

  19. I haven't heard even plans for a GCN version, but I am sure that the game was pretty popular, so they might make a sequel. I am now on the third level with Kanbei. I have been using the GameFaqs site to quickly beat the levels I have problems with. I want to get Nell first, then play it myself.

  20. I wish I was good enough to even beat the regular campaign, man, I suck.
