I planned on bringing Kanbei with me into the final battle, but it turns out I went about 2 days two slow on the first Yellow Commet mission, so I can't.
now, my choices are Drake or Sami. If I take Drake, I will have basicaly no advantage in the final battle, but I will go on to Rivals. hm, what to do.

Well, if you feel you are ready, Eagle is a great character to have. I truly, truly hated the Rivals mission, and I did that one dead last, so you may want to hold off on it a bit longer. Another point is that you have to beat an aweful lot of missions with Sami, and she is hard to play with sometimes. Have you unlocked Drake? He is easier then Eagle.

I am at the VS Drake levels now... they are so hard! I can only beat them with Max really.

After Kanbei, I believe you must beat nearly every level after that with Andy to get Drake, or Sami to get Eagle. I am getting to that part in the Advance Campaign now, so I'm getting to the end.
