Problem on Paper Mario

I am in the flower feilds and I dont know what to do. I have checked guides and everything. The flower I am suppose to get the crystal berry from will not give it to me. Plus the water is not drained. I have also talked to that other flower who has the plug. I have checked my key items to make sure i have not already gotten the water. What do I do?

Are you sure you are that far into the Fields yet? Cause I think there are other flowers and stuff that you have to get berries from first. I think there is a red, blue, and yellow.
