When is Xbox bringing games online?

i thought i heard sometime this year but when?

any Xbox owners know the answer to this ?

You can already play it online VIA <a href="http://www.gamespyarcade.com/support/tunnel_xbox.shtml">GameSpy Tunnel</a>, but you can only play:

- Halo
- Tony Hawk 2x
- NASCAR Heat 2002


I don't know when the official network will go up, from what I heard early summer / late spring.

*is eagerly awaiting to see what all the systems have to offer for online content.

Online Gaming so far:

DC - Lots of online games, used to be for free though I think its dying down now anyways...

GCN: So far only one game, PSO v2, has been confirmed. Nintendo is still being tight lipped on this issue so no info at all until Nintendo is ready to spill the beans.

PS2 - PlaystationBB was announced for japan with a great line up of games, hopefully some of those will be headed to the states (whenever SCEA decides to up the network). One online game does exsist though: THPS3.

Xbox - "II" answered this one. BTW what all games are going to be for the network? *hopes its not just FPS games [Add: I did see Shin Megumi "Nine" (it stands for something, its not the 9th game), an online RPG that looks promising)]

GBA - Erm... its kinda online in Japan, but I dont see it ever coming online in the US (Especially since our cell phones aren't all under one standard)

I could just imagine busting out my Game Boy advance in the middle of class playing against someon e in another country in a game. Hopefully they might come up with a way........but it's doubtful.

knowing how microsoft likes to delay things (look at RAW) im guessing Q4 2002. But when it comes it will be great.. incredibly different than the crappy GS now... eww. I'm betting dollars to donuts that it wont be out until then, and i can back it up because Unreal Championship, xbox's front runner (i can't wait for that game) won't be out according to ebgames until at least september/october (it keeps jumping back and forth for some reason....
