yes
no way!
my jet black game cube has a cosmetic defect it has six hairline cracks just take a look at yours they appear on the top frame case around the were the screws go in and around the power eject and reset buttons they appear to be similar to the mac cube type cracks but is this anything to worry about i mean in a year is it gonna have 20 cracks? opinions please? i understand i was very lucky to get one at all but i am just a bit cautious if anything i will return it when the stores get them back in stock but are they all still gonna be like this? thanks in advance
Mine is perfect. Maybe you should test your weed wacker on something else.
weed wacker would do alot more than put HAIR-LINE cracks in plastic.
its perfectly fine
about half the cubes have them, and there is nothing to worry about
its just where the molding was put on or something like that![]()
kbegey_4 thank-you very much for the informative reply thats what i was trying to get someone to tell me what was up with it thank-you once again!!
most GCNs have them...
and they're super-small.
i read about it in a mailbag at PGC, i think...
they pop-up cuz of the molding process used

do you happen to have the address for that site ? i would like to refer to it and get some info thanks!
every cube I ever seen has them so dont worry buddy its fine. It doesnt affect the gameplay at all
Mine does have those, but their nothing to worry about. PGC stands for PlanetGameCube, which can be located at www.planetgamecube.com.
thank-you for the link cookiecaper and i wanted to thank all of you for helping to reassure me i thought my cube was dropped enroute or something thanks
Luckily, my jet black gamecube is in perfect condition.
ya mine too, but GC's are suppose to last long even if your drop it or somethin. Nintendo does good with that stuf!![]()
I doubt it has little to do with the molding process. More with the torque on the gamebit screws which hold the outer casing together. If you'd like a little insurance policy you could put on some Armor All on the casing. It acts as sort of a plastic/vinyl lotion which can reduce the brittleness of the plastic and also UV protects it.
Yeah, wouldn't want your GameCube sunburnt.Originally posted by Pretendo

Before I got my GameCube, my cousin told me that there would be scratches on the top part, but mine never did...
