    EGM More Confident in PSP

In the latest issue of Electronic Gaming Monthly, the EGM crew compared their thoughts on the Nintendo DS and the Sony PSP, and, as it turns out, the PSP came out to be the winner. They believe that the price will be around $300, and they say that Sony has claimed a 10 hour battery life for games. They like the Nintendo DS, but they feel that the PSP will come out on top.

No way there can be a ten hour battery life. Sony just said that so they can get people like IGM to like it more so more people can buy it. Nintendo DS will be victore.

  3. LOL, bs! 10 hour battery life, well yeah, for music. and 300 is still a VERY HIGH prive for a handheld, sorry, not worth it, I'd rather get a PS2 and 3 games.

I hate Sony. High tech gadgets my ass. DS is high tech, but it shows innovative new ideas. Damn sony and their bribery

I know you hate Sony, Adidas...I've known you long enough to know that .

I'm still going to get one of these. I just hope that they make it so that it doesn't break easily.

Well let me answer that. Lets look at the PS2 and see how EASILY that breaks. There we go. PSP will break easily.

Also, why did you pick the name OutlawShadow again? Like father like son, son

Bah, I don't know what they're smoking, but no one's going to spend $300 for a handheld. I don't care how good it is, I wouldn't buy a DS if costed that much.

That is why the price is lower for the DS.

Well think again, mass amounts of ppl bought the defective PS2

and mass amounts of ppl will buy the PSP so they can play both GT 4 on their PSP and their PS2. Sounds stupid yes, well sony has tapped into that stupidity and has learned how to harness it

"Too early to pick a winner? Of course. Any system lives and dies by the games it plays, and we still have no idea what the DS and PSP launch line-up will be like (much less the quality of titles down the road)."

so why did the bother doing this comparision?
    May Peace Be With You

So that when both consoles are out, they can brag when everyone realizes that the PSP is the better system.

People are going to buy it for the big games on it, like Metal Gear Acid, GT4M, and GTA, if it comes out. Once GTA Portable is announced, the PSP will start selling like the PS2...if it hasn't already.

Btw, Outlaw, I have no idea how I picked OutlawShadow. It just kinda came to me.

I agree with ryan it is hard to predict who will win until they actually launch. Either way I think the ds will win because there are more nintendo fanboys then sony ones.

I'm noting more big guns coming for DS than PSP. Square-Enix being one of them and just today the possible signing of Tecmo's Team Ninja and of course the MS support.

Lots of developers are saying they signed up for the PSP on name alone not knowing anything about it but are starting to diss the PSP as time drags on and praise the DS.

Although I do agree, it's way to early to publish any possibilities.

I think that more people are going to buy the DS only because most people who buy the PS2 aren't going to bother getting a handheld. Nintendo's gameboy has millions of fans, and they will have people buying it.

its all Gay. Its all bout money now, and now games. Damn devs. But the DS will win in the end

  16. PSP 10 hour battery life? wtf? is it using anti-matter batteries or somethin'?

  17. alot of people seem to be draggin the PSP in the mud lately.

its sony's fault...cuz they don't have a real answer to a big question.

how long will the PSP last battery-wise.
THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY ADDICTIVE ABOUT THE WII

The PSP has an optical drive(which are very easily broken) if you accedently drop it and it hits the ground its gone...and the analoge stick will ware out...i agree that the games are awesome but your going to pay $400 for a peice of crap handheld...When your PSP breaks because you accedently dropped it or the analog stick wears out or one of your games gets a little scratch on it and it skips you will realise that geting a PSP over a DS was a retarded decision...

My GBA has fallen a few times and thanfully, no drive parts to worry about. But of course Nintendo makes insanely durable handhelds too.
