What's wrong with Square?

Come on, what's wrong with Square? They were the makers of classics such as Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy 6, Secret of Mana, Sekin Densetsu 3, and a lot of others. So why does everyone start to hate 'em. They sell a butt load of software and they are raking in the money. (Although they did lose alot making that FF movie.) What's wrong with this classical game developer and why is many people in this forum don't give a flip about Square coming back?

If you only say RPGs about Square the last one that I can think of that they made is FFIX. I thought that game was pretty good. It went back to its old roots. In some magazines they say that FFVII and FFVIII were some dissapointments. I thought those games were also good.

Yeah they used to make really good RPGs, but anything they've made recently is just trash. After FFVII and FFT (Both really good games, but a lot of people dont like FFVII and/or FFT)....

Saga Frontier - Sucky crap RPG

XenoSaga - Fantastic RPG

Tobal No. 1 - An overall crappy fighter

Brave Fencer Musashi - A lighthearted action RPG, looked okay

Erghiez - An over all crappy fighter

Einhander - Actually pretty cool Shooter

Parasite Eve - an okay game, mix of RE and FF kinda sorta

Final Fantasy VIII - Square officially ruins the series.

SD4: Legend of Mana - OH GOD THE HORROR, THEY WENT BACK TO REVIVE SEIKEN DENSETSU ONLY TO RUIN IT???? DAMN YOU SQUARE!!!!!!!

Saga Frontier 2 - Never played actually

Vagrant Story - Looked alright, Never played

Threads of Fate - Another lighthearted action RPG that looked okay

Chrono Cross - A Great RPG, not as Great as CT but Great none the less.

FFIX - Old School Heaven. A very good "I'm sorry for ruining FF" from Square to the fans

Bouncer (PS2) - Crapy beat-em-up

Driving Emotion Type S - A crappy racing game

If theres anything I havn't covered in the list, sorry

Purposely left out FFA and FFC since those are older games for the SNES, and are great except on PSX they have some loading times and some FMV added.

So... 7 VERY Crappy games, 4 "okay" games, 3 "Good" games since FFVII/T.

So for you people who havn't payed attention to Square since the SNES days, get a clue. They dont make that good of ANYTHING anymore.

yeah sqaure went fmv crazy and kinda forgot what to do with the actual game part of the games. WTF was with ff7 and ff8 i almost forgave them when ff9 came out, but ffx looks very dissapointing to me

legend of mana was not done by the same people that did secret of mana and seiken densetsu 3, so it was natural it would be poo. thank god brownie has gone solo. ask reboot about them
