WHy does everyone hate this game so much?

It looks like an awsome alien shooter, and i think nin should have a game like halo on the gamecube, and here it is!

and will all the classic weapons and baddies this game cannot fail

I like the game!I am not like waiting and waiting for it but I am planning on playing it for sure.It looks really fun.I loved the Gameboy game of Metroid..I think a 3D Metroid will be awesome!!!!I am ready to play it!!!!!

I am a HUGE Metroid fan; I have a Metroid theme (sounds, packground, pointers...etc.), I have all secretes and levels memorized by heart. When people say "Metroid Prime will suck, because its a FPS", this makes me angry. I bet those same people played, and liked Turok, 007 Golden Eye, Perfect Dark. If you asked someone if they would play a FP 007 game 4-5 years ago...they would have probally laughed in your face. People laughed at PSX, it was awsome.

I like the new Metroid. It's actually the first FPS I've ever liked, the game looks awsome. So does HALO, and I feel they will have similar elements. I would love to be shooting that charge blaster right now.

I'm a fan of Metroid but not a huge fan of FPS. Metroid in general was more about platforming then shooting, and FPS generally concentrates on shooting. Personally i didn't even want a 3D metriod, let alone a 3D metroid in 1st person. Metriod IV excites me way more then Metroid Prime but thats just a personal opinion. It might be a good game for all I know but I'm not getting my hopes up.

And Reboot, people would of laughed at you for wanting a Bond game peroid back then because up until Goldeneye they sucked.

Inaba... ....whats wrong with you? If you didn't shoot that much in Metroid, then I would love to shake your hand. Personally, I shot just as much as I jumped; Jump=3rd person (nice choice). Shooting=1st person (yet, another nice choice). Though, sprites are nice, a change is good every once and a while...even if it doesn't work as planned. Z:Oot=change, it turned out...good. Mario 64=change, it too turned out...ok. Kirby=good. well, most of the games that was made in 3D for a try...turned out ok. Even though it will be changed or mixed later on...Zelda. I guess is what I'm trying to say is...DON'T JINX IT!!!

after having played Star Trek: Elite Force on my Mac, I think it's safe to say that I will like this game.

You shot a lot but the focus was on platforming. Z : OoT and Mario 64 were both handled by Shigeru Miyamoto, a true genius. Kirby was polygonal but kept its 2D roots, so it wasn't a major change.


However, Metriod is being done in 1st person, by people who have no record of handling a Metroid game, no record of making games period.(Yes they have teams who USED to make some high calibur games, but not THIS company specifically)

This is all MY opinion, you may have you OWN opinion, and for all I know it could be a great game, but since its not out for me to play and see, none of us know. All I'm saying is that Metroid IV excites me more then Metriod Prime. MIV is 2D, and being handled basically by the teams that did the originals.

Also your comment about "most games" is entirely wrong. "Most games" completely sucked when put into 3D.

Contra, Castlevania, Prince of Persia, FlashBack (Fade to Black), Bubsy, just to name a few.

Mario, Zelda, Sonic, and Goemon are bout the only games that made a good transition (Kirby is still kinda 2D in gameplay, which makes it good though )

What the hell is wrong with you man? Just because you don't like it doesn't mean that it will be changed. Retro has the best of the best as far as FPS goes. Best of the best staff + best of the best hardware + the best of the best fans = 1 badass game! Everyone has probally seen the FP view, it looked pretty awsome. I never said it would change, and I stated MANY MANY TIMES that i'm just NOT excited about it as much as I am Metroid IV, and its JUST a PERSONAL (as in ME and NOT you) opinion. I not even say it would be a bad game anymore (so "not to Jynx it"), its just not what I (as in ME again not YOU) want.

1. It isn't completely an fps. When you jump, turn into a ball, use your screw attack grappling hook etc. you turnm to third person view.

2. Nintendo is helping and they make excellent games. The only problem is that they make kiddy games but now they're forced to make it mature.

1. I can't judge a game one year before it comes out.
2.Metroid so far...has been the best genre (debateable, don't start).
3. In all Metroid games, you jump way more than anything else in the game (unless your mentally ill).
4. I wish it stayed FP view while you flipped (j/k).
5. No matter what kind of game, or how good it is...I will always play it.

I think people that say that they don't like M. Prime, are either PS2
fanatics or gay. I'm saying this because real Nintendo gamers know that first person shooters are the best on next gen systems. Now tell me would you like to play a sidescrolling with the GC's capability, if you don't then you should just buy a GBA.
