G4 hate thread

I really fucking hate G4. They are trying to bring videogames down to the same level as the film industry. They are going to have an awards show pretty soon. I can't wait to see the kind of games that win awards. Video games are now into the mainstream and it shows in the quality of todays games. I'm sick of seeing famous rappers/football players on TV telling us what games they think are good. (its always True crimes and madden) They are like VH1 for video games

I hate seeing videogames on TV period. They show must appeal to the masses for ratings, therefore it will be all mainstream shit

Their award show last year blew nuts. Kingdom Hearts won for best story. Even though that story was good, it shouldn't have beat out Eternal Darkness, but I guess you can't expect good things to come from that channel.

I've only had it for a few weeks, and it seems pretty bad. After merging with the great TechTV, it went downhill. Even though it is G4TechTV, they focus mostly on games, and that sucks, especially for all the people who went to TechTV for Call for Help, which they cancelled.

But, I'm sure that within time, the network will get better.

G4 killed my favorite channel...TechTv....it's not even techtv anymore, now it's 80% G4 which is garbage...I hate G4..

They needed to keep Call for Help. Then I would be completely satisfied. But, they didn't.

What!? My direct TV satelight has been down since they hit it last time and we all have to switch over to the new Cards but their aren't any hacks out yet!! But what happened to TechTV? When our satelight went down tech tv was still normal old tech tv whats happened to it?

In February or March, TechTV was bought out by G4 Media, and they took G4 and merged it with Tech TV, and made it G4TechTV. Their slogan is "the only network for games, gear, gadgets, and gigabytes," but, there's not too much of any of that except games.

The award show cant be worse than Spike TV's. That was horrible. Video Game award shows can be done... they just should be more professional, and they should not be based on popularity.
