SONY in whine mode

SONY is really acting ridiculous recently.

With Nintendos recent cliam of GBA breaking sales records sony has went into cry mode with this crap:

"While Nintendo must be commended for the sales of their machine, in reality the PlayStation 2 sold three times as fast when it was initially launched, and we could have sold as many as three times the amount we achieved had we anticipated the demand."

They added;

"Also worth pointing out is that the PlayStation 2 cannot really be compared with the Game Boy Advance, due to the different price brackets of the systems. The PlayStation 2 is a complete multimedia package, and costs four times as much; it's pointless even making a direct comparison."

Finally, they stated;

"It will however be interesting to see how the Gamecube performs at launch, compared with the PlayStation 2. Then, and only then, could some sort of comparison be made."

Then after getting a good SEGA deal for some exclusive games:

SCEE President Chris Deering said, "We now have one of the best content creators in the world writing games for the most advanced computer entertainment system. It will be an exciting and winning combination not only for PlayStation 2 and Sega but more importantly for our consumers

I don't see any whinning. Sony just wanted to set the record straight. Why should Nintendo have the title of having the fastest selling system ever, if they don't really have it? The ps2 sold the same amount as the GBA did in it's first week. Not only that, but it was cost $200 more than the GBA. So, if you ask me, what Sony did was much more of an accomplishment.
