    Post Gamecube Era

Ok, what do you guys think will happen to gamecube by the end of the year...do you see a massive flop of many anticipated titles...overhyping of the system until the Revolution...or just good times, and a increased revolution librery due to how nintendo does (Ds, and GBA included) this year, 2004...I really don't know how they'll do as of now, I hope they do the best they can...

to avoid flops i say they should take at least one of the big titles from this year and keep it in developement for the Revolution IE:metroid or zelda

  3. The next gaming generation starts in 2006, so we have a little bit of time before we need to start pissing ourselves. They'll release Metroid in November, Zelda in March, and then they get start to arm themselves with new Metroid, Mario, Zelda, Star Fox, and anything else they might want to dump for the new-gen system.

I hope they skip either Zelda or Metroid entirely in the next generation.

    And skip Mario Party forever.

No Zelda and Metroid next-generation? You're crazy!

I would like to see new franchises though. Nintendo needs another RPG series ... something besides Zelda and Paper Mario.

Also, I love the Mario Party series (and they still sell pretty well - especially in Japan).

Crazy? No, he's genious. Sure it would piss tons of people off but the next gen when they came back, people will be more hyped than ever.

If they delay it a gen...then i think the revolution will go through worse times then GC, this would have been good during snes and 64...but now fan are ravenous and if they can't get there favorite characters now...then they'll look elsewhere and soon loss intrest in there old favorite ones, even if they do have a game coming out...

  9. They delayed Zelda five years between Link's Awakening and OOT, and there was no Metroid game for eight years. Not a bad idea, but Nintendo needs something salable along the way.

Imagine the Big N did that in the upcoming generation...I know it could have been better in business up until now, but in a world where people expect certain things of a system, and nintendo is saying no to them, think how will affect them now...I'd say yes, if 3rd and 2nd parties just started flowing to the Revolution, otherwise...that would be a ineffective move(2016 a kid sees the new Zelda game "Zella?what is Zella...he looks gay...") and the rest of us will eventually be following the Gaming crowd of Casuals...We slowly becoming that way now...(2016 Zelda...ah yes, I remember that game...what did I ever see in it...It has nothing on Halo 6 though...)...I see your side, but I think it's a bad move in a gaming world that has decided to change...and is still changing as we speak...

My only prediction is that at the end of this year, I will still be playing My Nintendo games, regardless of what anyone says about it or even if it fails. I see the same thing happening next year, and the year after that, and the year after that ect.

I see it coming on strong, with a "Let's Buy 3" price of $99 bucks, it is hard to beat that.

So do I. And let's not forget that Mario Party 6 is going to be innovative... so I can't wait for it.
